Never knew this. Wow. Vex precision kills
So I've only been playing since December. I don't know everything. But I was playing with 2 seasoned vets, and I figured something out they didn't know. So I'm only posting this for people who didn't know, because it can matter so much. I know I'm not the person to figure this out. I'm assuming most people know, but some don't.
Vex precision kills. For casual players like me, that's the robot race people. I always would shoot their heads off, and found getting a precision kill afterwards was near impossible, because there's no more head to shoot. So I always tried to shoot their empty neck hole, but it never worked well. Until this past week playing poe 42 needing headshots, I finally saw that shooting them not in the head, but the glowing part of the abdomen actually is how to get a precision shot in them. Not the head.
Yes I know a lot of people probably know this. Got ya. But I know a lot of people had no idea. Go try it out. I felt so dumb.

I'll be the first to admit I felt foolish when I found out knowing probably most people already knew. So I wrote this post ready for the mass amounts of comments to just be calling me stupid. Which if I actually took them serioisly, I would be stupid. And you all know this already. I'm not 12. Or 13. I'm 15. Jk. But if I helped one person today know this, then I have done my job. And I think there was one person who didn't, so I have completed my work here.
Edit 2: I'm very surprised to see some actual positive comments on here, even if it didn't help them. You were nice and karma will reward you. For all those saying negative things... keep going, I'm bored.

I think it's odd how regular Vex have crits in their stomachs, but Taken Vex have crits on their heads...

1 ReplyI thought this was common knowledge? The precison area on an enemy is where they are weakest. One of the story missions in the vanillia actually tells you to shoot the glowy orb thing...

1 ReplyAwesome :p When I first started playing Destiny, my brother was sherpa'ing me through the story. We got to the first Vex goblins and he goes "Their crit spot is their chest". Me: (after already killing about ten of them) "Obviously. I've been playing games for 15 years. The glowing bit is always the weak spot" :p

I found that out really quick when I started playing but for you folks who are just finding out, don't feel bad because the ghost doesn't seem to know either. In a couple missions he tells you to shoot them in their glowing eyes and not in their Vex Milk.

3 RepliesWow. Lol. I can guarantee I smoke more weed than you ever will and I noticed that the first time I saw a Vex. Big glowing white thing sort of gave it away........ Don't ever blame weed for your stupidity it's got a bad enough rep as it is.
