So I've only been playing since December. I don't know everything. But I was playing with 2 seasoned vets, and I figured something out they didn't know. So I'm only posting this for people who didn't know, because it can matter so much. I know I'm not the person to figure this out. I'm assuming most people know, but some don't.
Vex precision kills. For casual players like me, that's the robot race people. I always would shoot their heads off, and found getting a precision kill afterwards was near impossible, because there's no more head to shoot. So I always tried to shoot their empty neck hole, but it never worked well. Until this past week playing poe 42 needing headshots, I finally saw that shooting them not in the head, but the glowing part of the abdomen actually is how to get a precision shot in them. Not the head.
Yes I know a lot of people probably know this. Got ya. But I know a lot of people had no idea. Go try it out. I felt so dumb.
Edit: so it looks like many people here didn't look at my name, or don't know what it means. Check the spoiler. No I didn't know. It's not b8 or bait or bate, or a joke, or a knock knock, or satire. I'll be the first to admit I felt foolish when I found out knowing probably most people already knew. So I wrote this post ready for the mass amounts of comments to just be calling me stupid. Which if I actually took them serioisly, I would be stupid. And you all know this already. I'm not 12. Or 13. I'm 15. Jk. But if I helped one person today know this, then I have done my job. And I think there was one person who didn't, so I have completed my work here.
Edit 2: I'm very surprised to see some actual positive comments on here, even if it didn't help them. You were nice and karma will reward you. For all those saying negative things... keep going, I'm bored.
Feel free to use this post now however you'd like. Say the most random crap, attack me, attack someone else, convert people to Christianity. Whatever. And as always stay toasty.

11 RepliesShooting them in the belly isn't as strikingly obvious as everyone is saying... The eye in the middle of their head glows too! And it looks like a target. I was fortunate to have good buds to tell me to shoot the white stuff back in TBD.

Who ever you were playing with are not seasoned vets
-
Lol yellow numbers = more damage. You never know with aliens
-
1 ReplyCan admit I did the same when I first encountered them. Headshots=more damage right, no just a charging robot :/ Felt like such a noob when I discovered the abdomen was the key.

5 RepliesThe people you were playing with weren't seasoned vets if they did not know that.

1 ReplyOld news. Good looking out though and posting for people that didn't know. If you shoot the heads off the ones that snipe then they won't snipe at you anymore.. I foeget their name.

Something that I truly didn't know for a while is that you can shoot through Hobgoblin's shields (whenever they duck down and go invincible) with a sidearm. Pretty cool tidbit.

5 RepliesEveryone I've ever played with figured that out right away. Especially people who ran the Vault of Glass. If you weren't getting crit shots in there you were -blam!-ed

9 Replies"Aim for the Juicebox"... ring a bell?

1 ReplyHold the phones! You shoot them in the clearly glowing most obvious spot?!?! Groundbreaking development here.

8 RepliesEdited by Jio: 4/26/2016 6:23:40 PMI remember realizing this in year 1. It only took me my first encounter with the Vex, but I could understand how someone would never know. It's not as if the game actually tells you that the Vex weak spot is where their mindfluid flows. When I first saw the Vex, I considered them headshot magnets, but when you shoot off their heads, they frenzy. In this frenzy, they somehow shoot faster, move faster and with greater accuracy. So, I shot them in what appeared to be a glowing, flowing liquid after an unfortunate look up close and personal They also crouch to protect their bellies. That was the biggest giveaway.
