So I took a break from trials and just started playing it again because of that cool emblem and the changes they did in Crucible. But people keep talking about elo, I always looked at KD for skill. My KD is average and I think my elo is pretty low. If elo is like DTR score then mines would be super low right now since I haven't played it in a while right?
Also was on LFG and people say 2000+ elo, that is really far from mine.
Anyways I looked up my stats on destiny tracker and it shows my best elo and that is in sparrow racing
Sparrow Racing : {1487.73 / Diamond I / Top 1%}
Trials : {1404.51 / Diamon III / Top 3%}
What is the max elo you can get also?

3 RepliesELO is also based off purely wins with calculations of your team and opp. ELO scores to value how much you will lose or gain after the match. You won't lose ELO if you don't play because you aren't facing anyone to 'take it' from you. But you will lose ranking or TrueSkill (destinytracker.com) I personally base off K/D and other stats because if you're a beast ass player but play with a shitty team bc maybe they are your friends and you enjoy their company but you always lose. You can be 'good' but have a bad ELO.

2 RepliesIt's funny how everybody says people on xbox are better but the highest elo of somebody on xbox isn't even top 5 on ps

Elo was reset with the april update. Your elo pre update is what matters if you remember it. Mine was 1800-1900. But i stopped playing back in January. If you have a consistent kd like mine being 1.8 to 2.4. Thats how good you are. Kd does matter

Dont use destiny tracker for elo use destinytrialsreport.com or guardian.gg/

5 RepliesThe elo was reset with the April update, so it's low (1200) and 2000+ elo is crazy, top 100 probably
-
Whats funny is all these people asking for it but then in the recruitment forum, there are numerous "Guarenteed flawless" posts. Soon every trials thread will include the words guarenteed flawless in it.

7 RepliesEdited by Wow I Jake: 4/23/2016 5:24:02 PMTip #1: don't look at elo, it's about as useless as overall DTR is lol Came back from a 6 month (almost 7 months) break and was surprised that the community had latched onto such a worthless stat. Elo is like those vibrating waste belts you used to see in infomercials that were advertised as a quick and easy way to get a 6 pack, the "results" looked great and if you didn't have a brain their explanation seemed sound and logical, but in reality it was just a useless piece of garbage that vibrated your belly for 20 minutes a day and anybody with even a basic understanding of the human body knew it was garbage. Edit: autocorrect

3 RepliesEdited by Perfect Plans : 4/23/2016 5:00:17 PMElo is a point system based off wins and losses. Season 2 started when the April update launched so everyone started at 1200 on 4/12. Check guardian.gg for the current highest Elo, as there is no limit. Destinytrialsreport.com is also a very good site to check for more info. Trials report actually gets its info from guardian.gg

Also no one really pays attention to the Elo system in DestinyTracker. Gaurdian.gg/destinytrialsreport is where it's at.

ELO for trials is used from guardian.gg - not destinytracker.com because the numbers aren't correct. ELO got reset last Tuesday. Everyone back to 1200. ELO goes by Tiers. 0 - 1099 Bronze 1100 - 1299 Silver 1300 - 1499 Gold 1500 -1699 Platinum 1700 + Diamond Pre-reset. 'GOOD' elo to me was 1700+ Post-reset only a few players are 1700+ do to the new grind. I am 1590 and #800 ranked. So right now it's partially imbalanced until players nest their way into their skill based ELO teir. Until then, you pretty much base judgement off of 'Season 1' ELO.
