I get what he's saying. Bungie has a very flawed logic in removing elemental primaries.
They wanted to "create more variety in loadouts" by removing the go-to weapon types that were used to the exclusion of all other primaries.
Sadly, what they failed to realize is that people will always gravitate to the weapons that do the work.
Case in point - Black Spindle. People have it as a raid requirement for their teams because it does work.
Doctrine of Passing. Those that have it use it, because it's an amazing g weapon.
1k Yard Stare. Again. It does its job for most people better than any other of its type.
So really, all Bungie did was remove really, really cool guns that had character. Because, no matter what they do, there will *always* be that handful of weapons that get far more use than any other.
