Why is modern gaming nothing but a pay to play? I missed it when multiplayer was FREE. Why must we have to buy Xbox Gold membership and all that? People like me are always cut from the good stuff and content cause every video game is a pay to win

Don't let the keyboard warriors get to you, their life is more of a waste of time than yours. To answer your first part, in the way i see it, modern gaming is not nothing but pay to win. Pay to win is just something that is accessible, but its not what modern gaming is. I think you are confusing pay to win with paying for little extras, which destiny has. Emotes, horns, sparrows, armor that needs to be infused with gear you actually earned from playing the game is not pay to win. When i think of pay to win, i think of games like candy crush, where they make levels that are almost impossible to win, and then sell "weapons" that pretty much beat the level for you. As for why you have to pay for xbox live, its because upkeep on the servers costs money. If you think about it, Xbox live is only 5 dollars a month when you purchase it for a year. Compare that to seeing a movie. You'd spend around 20 bucks to see a movie for an hour and half of your time. Since this game has released, i have close to 900 hours played. i have paid 100 dollars for xbox live in that same 20 month period. thats 11 cents an hour to play. Either way, you are free to your own opinions. I just wanted to maybe give you the other side of the argument from someone who isnt being a complete nobgobbler.
