Warhammer 40k doesn't have paracasual abilities or Ontology weapons. So it loses.
Therefore destiny wins

Edited by GrimReaperXDD: 4/6/2025 8:32:50 PMthe guardians light can be easily supressed by the magic cancelling properties of a squad of grey knights armour and weapons. if they can kill legions of heretics and daemons, then surely they can kill a couple guardians? and the psychers alone can cripple even the most experienced guardians. The grey knights are specifically sent to deal with horribly high threat enemies that wield chaos energy. and dont even get me started on the primarchs if all 20 primarchs united (hypothetically) they would easily kill all the forces of destiny2 combined ( if all light and dark forces like the traveller and witness combined forces) in the end Warhammer easily wins this due to their sheer overwhelming forces https://warhammer40k.fandom.com/wiki/Grey_Knights https://warhammer40k.fandom.com/wiki/Primarch https://warhammer40k.fandom.com/wiki/Psyker (btw I love destiny 2 more that warhammer 40k but lets be real 40k wins)

I'm sure that Adeptus Mechanicus would find the way to use the Traveller and it's paracousal power if they had it. In the Name of Omnissiah, of course.

I think it could be fair I mean I know the destiny universe is powerful and I know some things about Warhammer 40k and it seems to be just as powerful. I think destiny wins just because of some of the characters like Oryx, The Nine, and Atheon. Plus races like the Vex, Hive, Cabal, Fallen and Taken but I do know that the Emperor of Mankind is op as hell so I think it's even-ish. But I know barely anything about Warhammer soo idk

5 RepliesIn a large scale scenario, going beyond just the city, the elements of Destiny win over Warhammer. I will admit that Warhammer has many forces, factions, and powers that can stomp on any Destiny faction, the battle of the Light and the Dark goes beyond everything in Warhammer. The two powers are representations of life's complexity and Death's simplicity. If we bring just those two powers into Warhammer, a race far worse than the Hive would pop up slaughter half the universe and force the remaining half to join forces. But if we brought everything from Destiny into Warhammer (species and respective technologies) many of Destiny's races would be rendered extinct and the people of the City would scatter across the Imperium of Man just to survive. They would survive, they would adapt and they would become stronger.

1 ReplyThese f****** idiots voted for Destiny and don't even know both. I've played both for a while, and if the Cabal alone can destroy The Last City 1 million times over. Honestly, people, do a fairly quick wiki check and it's pretty clear that Warhammer 40k DESTROYS.

Isn't this just biased opinion though

Heretic pls.

Way too many people think the imperium is the whole of 40k.

Somebody knows nothing about 40k...

1 ReplyA vanguard titan is probably about the same size as an imperial guardsmen... The terrain empire could wipe the last city off earth. Then wipe earth off the starmap. Then go eat a sammich.

Blood for the blood god, my friend.

1 ReplyGhost, go to bed, you're drunk and your shitposts suck. Warhammer is literally the king of acausal bullshit and reality--blam!-ery.

2 RepliesEdited by awesome1401: 4/22/2016 5:15:21 AMFOR THE EMPEROR!!!! The war hammer 40k emperor literally fights the war hammer version of the darkness with his mind even though he is a dead corpse. 1 salamander company could rip apart a world, let alone 1 rust bucket city.

1 ReplyThis poll tells me people don't really know much about 40K

1 ReplyThere is no way Destiny could beat Warhammer.

1 ReplyDon't know about war hammer so I'll just scratch the surface of destiny instead. Fallen: to be fair the fallen may not be the strongest. They do have interplanetary traveling capabilities so they must be fairly advanced. Cabal: mostly going to just blow stuff up. As far as I know that done have anything reality shaping. Vex: Time travel. Capability to alter reality. Dimension shifting/traveling. Plus some fun paradox stuff. In general extremely powerful. Hive: ancient being that deal with even more ancient "gods". Going around making new reality and rules for them. Power to "take" and variety of other not so pleasant things. Oh and oryx has two sister just to make things more fun. Traveller/guardian: yay we are the light we are so awesome... right. Thought I should mention this because we sorta defeated everything else. Traveller seems pretty important and powerful, not to sure though. Warminds: Extreme intelligence plus awesome destructive abilities. Need I say more? Other: a variety of other species with intriguing backgrounds are mention in grimoire (just tidbits though?). Though I fell it's safe to say that there is a wealth of impressive intelligences that at one point, perhaps in the present are spread through the universe. TLDR: it looks like destiny had a LOT going for it

Unfortunately none is told in the game lol

Based on the more fleshed out lore warhammer40k has, warhammer wins. Immortal gods? Time travelers that can wipe out stars with a single finger twitch? (Not sure about the representation of that, but is that accurate?) More races that can rival these gods. A race that takes the saying "I'll be back!" Along with "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger." literally? All of that and many more races i missed that want to kill each other vs a single city with a recovering god that can bring the dead back to life? Idk if guardians and the city can survive that cluster-blam!- of war with their current threats to their system. Warhammer universe sounds cool though. Makes it seem like there's books out there or some thing. Any warhammer experts point out any flaws in my post.

To those saying destiny would win,I highly recommend you research 40k. The universe is literally made to be the most over the top and over powered universe around.
