11 RepliesSure. If you want to go from a sexy male/female model into a piece of bacon, go for it.

1 ReplyThere is no negative from taking the free levels other then looking like a hollow. You can get 5 free levels from drawing out your strength. First is available after talking to the pilgrim npc. The rest you have to reach the associated stages of hollowing. These are 2, 5, 12, & 20. For each free level you take you get a "Dark Sigil". For each Dark Sigil you have you gain a stage of hollowing when you die. So 1=1 per death, 2=2 per death & so on. Hollowing maxes out at 99. You can have up to 8 Dark Sigils at any time. 3 are gained through a side quest. You can cure your Dark Sigils thus curing your hollow curse. This requires a Firekeeper's Souls & the amount of souls required to reach your next level multiplied by the number of Dark Sigils you have on you.

Yes hollowing affects nothing but your apperence and you automatically fail like 3 quests if you don't and You have to do it for 1 of the 3 endings

I'll let you know now while they are free if u ever want to remove your hollowing it will cost u 5 levels worth of souls from your current level

10 Replies
It turns you Hollow, and invites a new NPC to the Shrine, at the cost of his death. I don't see the downside to be Hollow thus far, though, and it was 5 free level ups.
Quest spoiler;
Plus I'm getting married, now. :3 I have a feeling it'll go horribly wrong, though..

Don't spoil it please
2 RepliesI accidentally killed him because I heard please kill me and I thought it was him who said it. I started attacking and was like "why are you doing this?!".

8 RepliesYou'll look like beef jerky the more you die, but you can pay the fire keeper to remove it later. And you keep the levels.
