Post Update Class Items don't work on the exotic faction quest.

I was working on my New Monarchy exotic quest before the update and was making good progress.
After the update I got a new post update New Monarchy warlock bond that was significantly higher level than the pre update bond I had on.
I equipped it but I noticed that the quest progression had halted and couldn't understand why.
I changed back to the pre update bond and the quest started progressing as normal, is this supposed to happen?
The post update class items don't count as the faction class item when doing the exotic quest?

2 RepliesI'll bump this just because you calmly and reasonably brought up the problem. Most people here would said something along the lines "WTF Bungo!? You're a bunch of -blam!-ing idiots! How could you mess this up, so badly? You're ruining my life you -blam!-ing assholes [i]I hate youuuuu![/i]!! And so on for about four paragraphs.
