[UPDATED, FLAMERS AND/OR PEOPLE THAT DISAGREE RE-READ]
Escape The Fate are an amazing band, very popular with 15-19 year olds at the moment, and still getting bigger.
I listened to their song 'this war is ours' and heard halo references in it, so looked it up on youtube and wiki to see if the song was actually about halo, and it is, (watch the WHOLE thing)
in the end they say they want the song played in halo 4, I would love the song to be played in the Halo Reach credits, I do love halo music, but think that this song being played in the credits also would be awesome. Near the end of the credits if preferred. But this would NOT appeal to all fans, so instead of wasting valuable halo music space, how about just 'Escape The Fate' mentioned in the list of tributes, or thanks.
They've dedicated a couple of songs to halo, and it'd be pretty sweet if halo included them in something they done. Even if its just in a list of thanks, or mentions at the end, Thanks :)
p.S at least listen to the chorus 'through the smoke and flames' before you judge.

:) thanks BUNGIE, or readers, nothing nice to say, say nothing at all. Or at least give a valid reason why not, as opinions are opinions :) but please no head on flaming,
(SO pleased there has been little if any flaming :) :) keep it up lol)
"yeah, it'd be awesome to have it played at the end halo 4 or something"

Maybe they can take the lyrics out and put it in the campaign like for what they did for H2 and BB?
-
No. I'm a hardcore fan and what happened to ETF isn't hardcore anymore... it's idk how to call it. It's a sell out song and it's not even that good, and the whole thing just feels really mainstream and stupid. I'm not trying to be that "mainstream music sucks dudes" guy but everything in this song sounds like it was meant to be listened to by 15 year old girls that like brokencyde. Now The Guillotine, the original one by ronnie, was much better and would totally be fitting ( it isn't even too hardcore for most people ). If they had that tho it would have to be during the normal end credits as to not piss off anyone who doesn't like hardcore.

Escape the Fate can escape my mind for all I care.

Scream is the worst, you wanna know what is good music? Listen to this! E.S. Posthumus
-
Here is another opinion... NO! even if the song was good it wouldn't fit within the game at all not even the credits, i mean screamo are you serious, i haven't got a problem with screamo music that much (i dont like it when the entire song is just screaming) but the song wouldn't fit with the mood of Halo Reach at all.....so basically NO! MY OPINION!

Metal is not a generally excepted music type along with scremo and anything of the like so. Plus I want to be able to withstand the credits for the after credits easter egg.
-
I would much rather have a good song in the credits. I don't care if they like Halo or not. :) TOOL for the win.
-
Yeesh.
-
Interesting, I love Escape the Fate! Although I believe Marty's music should play during the credits. [Edited on 02.08.2010 3:16 PM PST]

Can't even understand 90% of the song

Escape the fate is garbage... Marty could single handily create better music than any of them ever will.
New escape the fate that is...

those who never knew who Ronnie Radke was needs to listen to one of his songs before listening to Craig Mabbit's music, there is a huge difference in the lyrics and the vocals

I hate Craig Mabbit! he turned a metal band into some deformed monster that sings love songs OLD Escape the fate should be here, and the song should be "The Guillotine" Mr. Appletini, if you never heard of Ronnie Radke, put down your encursed Craig Mabbit CDs and listen to this song. If you oppose OLD ETF, then -Blam!- New ETF isn't as good as it was, and besides, Ronnie was more of a Halo Fan than Craig, in one of his concerts he wore a MC costume. Furthermore, the Guillotine has more mentions to Halo as in the mention of the Covenant, "Spartans stand alone", and more mentions. Even the band members don't like Craig, except Max Green who turned into a he-she after he joined the band. if you watch the interview videos and compare the times between Craig and Radke you can see an obvious difference in the way the rest of the band members like the lead singer, and how they are treated back. GO OLD ETF!!! BTW: when i said the guillotine, i meant the first one, not the second one that Mabbit made. (Which some of you fail to see) [Edited on 02.08.2010 2:48 PM PST]

Personally seeing how we are playing as Spartan III the music fits in with their reckless fighting styles. I wouldn't mind if bungie could find an instrumental of any of their songs and put it on Reach, but i honestly do think they should atleast put them in the credits They did make atleast 3 songs directly based off the game.
-
Hell no.
-
why would you want guys with sour throats sing on halo? its not right one bit
-
Posted by: pad117 Escape the Fate? are you actually being serious? that would be absolutely horrible! if you're gonna suggest songs for the credits, suggest good ones please. Thanks.
Ok everyone look here!!! This guy has an opinion!! OH NO!! But yes personally I would like it if The Guillotine or This War Is Ours was in Reach.
-
Sorry but Marty O'Donnell > Escape the Fate
-
Nope. I don't listen to music like that, because personally I hate it. And I, like many other Halo players, want to see the credits/cutscene at the end without having to endure a bunch of screaming emo kids who have nothing else to do but write songs about a game. (Breaking Benjamin does not count becuase they aren't emo and they're actually good :) /thread now [Edited on 01.27.2010 1:38 PM PST]

No. Never. It simply does not fit Halo. Halo is a Sci-Fi shooter, and it's music should reflect that as it has since the beginning. Putting anything like this into Reach would ruin it. Just because a song is about Halo and is written by Halo fans doesn't mean it should be in the game, or even mentioned in the credits. Seriously.

Screamo Screamo got to GO! In other words - No.

This is way better :] tee hee http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=19KoKVkTNF0
