The Comeback of a Dropout

I've been with destiny since the beta, and back then I had so much FUN. Now at this point most of you don't need to continue reading. Everyday we see a post like this, where a person who was a dedicated fan, storms out on destiny. But my story is different. It is true, I was a beta player, and I did love the game. The memory of my first nova bomb still resonates with me to this day. Year one was good to me and my friends. Every strike, patrol, and crucible match oozed with the unpredictability that made destiny so great. Of course, however, it all had to end at one point. Now this is where my story differs from others. My quitting of destiny was not conscious, like so many, who punch a hole in their wall then break the game and walk away. For me it all began a little after the Taken King. Don't get me wrong TTK DLC was amazing to me, but once I got to the end of it, finishing the storyline and the raid, I began the grind. I really wanted those exotics as many who played did. However, after some time I would say to myself, "That looks tough, I'll do it tomorrow." Unknowingly, I was edging away from the game, to the point when in late December/ early January, I had stopped playing entirely. Recently though, bored on my phone, I opened the companion app and saw the April update. The nostalgia of my first Nova bomb filled me with glee, and I booted up the game. As I played through, the old splendor and charm worked its way back to me, and now I'm addicted to destiny all over again. Back on the app, I checked the forums and what I saw truly made me sad. I saw people in furious rages, bashing on Deej and Cozmo, others like how this post started, detailing the enraged fall of a destiny player like me. So I want to be the man to change that. To Deej and Cozmo, you have my sincerest thanks, your work of being the link between the players and the devs has been splendid. My advice to you would be to interact with the players more. Every post you comment on looks very similar, stating how you plan to communicate this to the Developers soon. I think all of us would be grateful if you could maybe get an actual Dev. or even yourselves to give your personal opinion on the matter. Other than that, you guys are doing absolutely fantastic. Keep it up! I also bestow my gratitude to the developers, who have given me a game so memorable and loving that it stuns me to this day. Seeing Atheon crumble, Crota fall to his knees, Skolas defeated, and Oryx float into the depths of space has set aside a place in my heart in soul for destiny. My advice to you would be to show your passion for the game. While we don't hear much about you from Deej and Cozmo, when we do, it almost sounds like destiny is a side project for you guys and gals. It would be really nice to know that you all love this game just as much as I do, and want to improve it as much as the fan base does. So in conclusion I am now back into destiny, for the long run I hope, I also apologize to bungie for the unfounded hatred of those on the forums, as well as thank you for all that you've done for me. I am giving my trust to you, and somehow, I get this feeling that it is not misplaced.
