I have the same issue but I deleted my old class item!! This is very frustrating as I only had a couple more strikes to do :(
Bungie please fix this bug

I think but I'm not sure... but I think you can still get the proper class item if you buy it from the faction directly. Thankfully I still had my pre update class item still. Id say try and buy the class item from the faction and see if THAT one works. Otherwise Bungie needs to get on this one.

Yep I had to save up some marks after blowing them all but bought a non spektar mark to use. It's a known bug apparently but still a right pain!
