What would you say is a good pulse rifle?
Some of my favorites is the Hawksaw and the Red Death.
However, there is still a lot of really good ones out there, with plenty of possibilities for good rolls.
I was wondering if anyone had anything that they preferred, or considered a good roll.

3 RepliesEdited by finRatman: 4/18/2016 2:32:28 PMHawksaw and PDX-45 already have a very good base stability without stability perks. You just need to learn to control the recoil. Call me weird, but I think the one on my Hunter has the best possible roll. SPO-28 (Improved target acquisition), High Caliber Rounds, Unflinching and Rifled Barrel. High Caliber Rounds hit the opponents hard and makes it more difficult for them to hit you. Unflinching counters the effect of the High Caliber Rounds which is great. And lastly the extra range that Rifled Barrel gives makes this gun viable even at longer range combat situations. I can beat scouts with thing such as Mida Multitools, even before the nerf! It really is my favorite primary in the game atm and I've had other PDX's and Hawksaw with stability perks, but I always fall back to use this one instead.

6 RepliesEdited by Pippo: 4/18/2016 2:30:08 PMI like the Hawksaw. Need to make some comparisons with the Reflection Sum. I have two versions with Rifled Barrel which means almost Scout range. One of them has High Caliber Rounds which is great for PvP and PvE alike. The other has Full Auto which is also interesting. There is even a third one in my Vault with Zen Moment and High Caliber Rounds, but with a range perk that reduces stability.

From the exotics, Red death is excellent, but for pve, I'd rather take bad juju. String of cursus is amazing, and you can choose to make it a low damage laser beam or a medium impact long range power house. Really, if you get used to it, you will never leave it. Lots of recoil though

Edited by Dano2point0: 4/18/2016 2:18:06 PMThere are a lot of god roll pulse rifles out there. Every now and again if you're brave enough to experiment you'll find a roll that exceeds expectations. A few of mine that performed far better than I would have imagined: 1) The Villainy: Secret Round, Fitted Stock, Feeding Frenzy Perfectly balanced and Secret Round is doing some work. All I know is that this gun is earning the name Captain Comeback. I've won 1v1s that I thought I was surely going to lose. 2) PDX-45: High Caliber Round, Unflinching, Rifled Barrel Red Death on steroids (minus the healing of course). HCR+High RoF is a nasty combo. Unflinching allows you to remain steady while trading shots. And it has range comparable to a medium RoF pulse rifle. 3) PDX-41: Hammer Forged, Spray and Play, Hand Laid Stock Spray and Play isn't bad but not my first choice. The real strength of this weapon is with the two other perks, Hammer Forged and Hand Laid Stock, which give the PDX-41 laser precision. I think this gun has the potential to be the best overall with a different roll.

The villainy from FWC has become my favourite very fast. Before that i used Red Death for a long time. Still love that pulse
