Haha great value, they're literally selling you a tiny piece of code hid behind a gambling box.

You described buying music from the itunes store after hearing only a 30 second preview if the song. I always thought you were just bitter and obsessed, but you're actually tangentially insightful.
-
1 ReplyExactly, why spend millions producing real content? They can pay the live team in burritos and churn out chroma and taken themed gear and make millions.

5 RepliesIt's worth or value is a matter of perspective IMO. What you might find of little value can mean so much more to someone else. It's like buying a Luis Vuitton, they are selling literally a skin of a dead animal for thousands of dollars but people still pay ridiculous amount of money for those because it brings them some sort of pleasure and joy. I'm sure every single person on this whole forum throws money at something that brings them entertainment, pleasure, and joy. So who are you to judge or make fun of anyone who is simply doing what makes them happy?

Edited by WTXKING23: 4/17/2016 5:49:16 PMDon't worry about it. It's the people money not yours. Spend all the money on whatever I want.

1 ReplyThink of all the dumb shit you've bought in your life that is no longer relevant....

I spent I believe 20 for several pieces of armor and a specific emote. Honestly I would have paid 20 for the emote and a shader of the same effect. It's 20 dollars that goes towards the game I've put 800 or so hours in. Seems OK to me. Still better than suscription fees

1 ReplyYea its really sad.

2 RepliesI love your threads.

1 ReplyAnd people think Bungie is the problem, should have stopped Activision a while ago

3 RepliesI had some spare silver from ages ago so spent it. Got well lucky. Sparrow and 4 bits of armor from 3 boxes. It'll do me. But ill be buggered if I spend any more money
-
3 RepliesThe unfortunate side effect of contributing lots of money to this kind of thing is that developers across the gaming spectrum will have less motivation to innovate or do to much work for future DLCs. As long as people are spending lots of money on these random cosmetic type DLCs we will get less big story spanning DLCs. Unfortunate side effect driven by the RNG part of the Eververse stuff. Some will keep spending money to get that one last piece they want.

3 RepliesAnd the PS exclusive armor looks better and....it's free.
-
12 RepliesBunch of dumbshit scrubs throwing money at the screen.
-
1 ReplyI won't spend money on it, and seeing how rare it is to get the taken armor I'll probably never get it. But, since people are, it keeps updates and dlc free for us all.
-
5 RepliesWish I was smart enough to program a video game and reap the rewards like Bungie /Activision. Selling virtual goods.....genius!

1 ReplyWhat was the op?
-
1 ReplyIf they wanna pay for the dlc good luck to them. Saves me some cash and I get free dlc.
-
1 ReplyYup. I made a post about how this was bungie's idea. Make more money than a regular DLC without having to do any work. Profits maximized.

1 ReplyNever shying away from the truth lethal.
