I am asking people and it's a mixed bag. Tired of posting but the misunderstanding is killing me. If you have an hour read my other long post. Meantime here is why they weren't changed and I wouldn't bank on a future one.
In military games a Support Class is a class equipped to lay down heavy fire. The purpose generally is to provide Support in the movement of troops (Advance or Withdraw).
A Neutral Game is reference to the classes abilities outside of their supers. This is your melee, grenades and general perks not linked to your use of super only.
*Edited due to Swift updating me*
(Originally I assumed this was the ability to make you ineffective. It is actually more specific than that sorry)
Take any other class any compare their ability to apply this type of constant pressure using these abilities. They can stall your rush or soften you for attack. 1 hit from a bolt and suddenly people are more worried about surviving 12 sec than anything else.
In the spirit of competition there are counters and ways to reduce this effect. Just as the Singer is forced to use slots, gear or builds to create the effect you must make commitments to stop it.
I compare people that refuse these options to a raid party. What if someone said you know bungie whenever I raid I demand a Defender titan on my team. They are essential in me winning so I want them nerfed. Kind of seems silly to me.
These classes are here for you to use as a group. You weren't supposed to build one guy that does it all or you would only have one slot.
There are many game modes, styles and character builds so find your favorite. But when you go through different modes and another class shines don't get jelous or angry. It's probably more suited for that mode.
So please understand when people tell you there are counters, reduction gear, weapon loads or even another class you are free to chose it's not an insult. It means you might be trying a little too hard to play just your favorite guy. Make the adjustments or just get the better suited class.
In the end this game was supposed to show how a range of different characters and perks and contribute to overcoming the evil space tyrants lol. We aren't supposed to be fight over who has a better sling shot or skateboard.
I hope this helps and shame on the people who instigated these changes. Especially those that hold wide respect in the community but help tear it down. I saw people that hold blogs and that have a YouTube audience up here saying flat out wrong things.
I equally saw people follow them and say "O that's Count Dracula. If he says it then it must be true."
F Count Dracula, he was wrong and is a punk if a person as new and inexperienced as me has to be a voice. You may very well be a better player and leader than him. Goes for weapon and gear posts.
Forget what others say that's their opinion. Actually try it yourself before you knock it. If someone calls you cheap than hunt him aggressively and often. He is a whiner and needs to adapt to you if he can't win.
DANG Another Rant lol

A Neutral Game is reference to the classes strength in neutralizing a threat. So put simply to halt an enemy advancement or force an enemy stronghold to move.
Uh, no. A "neutral game" is how a class performs when not using their super. You need to make sure that you actually look up the definition of things before you try and talk about them.

I'm so happy sunsinger is more supportive now
-
According to some people, a support class with a strong neutral game equals OP and needs nerf.

7 RepliesEdited by KannibalKlown: 4/12/2016 4:45:41 PMIn RPGs a support class helps in usually one of the following ways Heals the team Buffs the team Debuffs the enemy Controls or locks down the enemy Sun singer can buff with its super. Or come back from the dead to resurrect its team. All while making lots of orbs with just its regular weapons in super mode

1 ReplyI'm wondering when they'll improve the neutral game of the defender. Because shit, he needs some help in the actually-getting-it-done department.
-
3 RepliesThat means that sun singers arent a support class, but have a strong neutral game.
-
The exact thing you said ~ a space magic Johnson voidwalker main
-
-
5 RepliesThat's not what neutral game means
-
means they are strong at defence (tanking a GG shot like a badass) and offence (viking furnaral and shiz)
-
7 RepliesSunsinger? Support? Lol no.
-
1 ReplyIf you could only have one sunsinger on a team then ya thats support I guess but three just spamming nads and melee that all burn and leave you almost died.... Is not support.... It's op.
-
3 RepliesWent flawless with Sunsinger Its op
-
1 ReplyWas willing to read this until I actually read the first paragraph. Your definitions are totally inaccurate and thus the rest of your post is based on flawed assumptions.

Who cares? If you like them then play as them. If you hate them adapt. Over this discussion TBH
