I mean Vault of Glass was cool, Crota's End was decent, and King's Fall was awesome, but what about a cabal raid. I myself think it would be incredibly hard, but worth it. We, Guardians get to slay the Emporer of the Cabal. I think they can pull it off. What do you guys think?

doesn't matter what anyyone says, your going to be waiting for it, nothing has been released saying it's going to happen.

3 RepliesMy understanding is that there is already a CABAL raid but it has been moved back/ delayed to Destiny 2. Along with the new earth location, I forget the name but it isn't Chicago. Obv with the dreadnaught originally intended to be in the original game, with the original writer/ story, as the place we went to get RASPUTIN back at the end of the game. It was then chopped, story rewritten (Bungie top bods hated idea of us going to all planets in first couple hours) and the dreadnaught was taken out. Crota took 9 odd weeks roughly to make and TBH you can tell. Its pretty crud. UNofficial feedback suggests the cabal raid was very good, along with that place on earth I refer to (but cant name lol) but I guess we will have to wait for the sequel or maybe the last paid DLC, if one drops.

The more I think about it, the cooler it sounds. But ONLY if Bungie does it right. No more space magic team wiping spells that require fancy space magic rituals to trigger magic stunning abilities. Make it different. Make it feel like you're going to war against a Sci-Fi army, not spell-breaking your way into a monster's lair. Tactical AI and mechanized/vehicle bosses yes, infinite-enemy portals and mutant-demons no. It hadn't occurred to me until now, but ever since TTK Destiny's tone has become WAY too Fantasy-Magic-like. I'm just going to pin the blame for that on my this silly Crota-Oryx Hive/Taken subplot Bungie apparently loves so much.

Shareholders can't wait.

That would be cool
-
Vex raid. Another vault on a different planet.
-
Before TTK? Yeah, bring it on! After TTK and playing Bond Bros. on Nightfall with solar burn? Uhh.. not so much.

5 RepliesI completely agree, cabal raid would be great. However, it won't be anywhere near their main force. All the cabal we ran into have been their version of strike teams. A full on army would wipe out guardians. Cabal actually aren't our enemies, we got in their way of fighting the vex, then got in their way again against oryx. Cayde is the one most knowledgeable about the Cabal, probably due to his old type of work, he informs us about how they work and how their army functions. One a cabal fleet leaves their home planet, they are EXILED, until they come back victorious. Meaning their royal fleet would never leave their planet, we'd have to go there to fight. At most we'd end up fighting a specialized cabal unit, and that in itself would be one very scary thought, which I look forward to! Bring on the raid of the cabal, and the countless deaths that will follow!

2 RepliesAll military style raid. No magic bullshite. No relics, no auras, no disappearing shite. Prob need passcodes/keys things like that. Will be hard af.
-
Vog was amazing. KF was cool. CE was a strike.
-
1 Replyi would love a Cabal raid, but then i think about how many Phalanxes there would be and i shudder. i can only really think of a few boss types though, Centurion/Tank/Colossus/Psion Flayer group. but i still think we need a proper Fallen Raid and not just this Prison of Elders event.
-
The Cabal are powerful. Remember, they sent a small team to Mars. Who knows. It would make sense having a raid on earth, except we are the ones getting raided..
-
3 RepliesYou know what would be cool, if 20 or so Cabal Phalanx came out and actually got into a phalanx formation! Then you had to crack the impenetrable phalanx as centurions laid into you! Oh man, I'm getting hyped for a raid that doesn't even exist!
-
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Could be cool, kill the GEOM and get to dress like a spesh mareen
-
I will slap the cabal emperor right in their caballs when I beat the raid.
-
Would be awesome. Imagine having a set of Titan armor that transforms you into something like a shield brother or Valus Ta'aurc--huge shoulder pads and a badass class armor that hangs above you like a banner. Come on, Bungie! Make this happen!
-
2 RepliesThe least the Cabal could do is start using actual tactics. Phalanxes providing mobile cover, Centurions flanking, etc. What they lack in programming is made up for in music.
-
I do because I'm kind of over enchanted relics and throne worlds. Straight forward fights with higher AI. Use your own space magic to gain an advantage.
-
It's actually rumored to be fallen....remember the wolves on Mars mission? And the Awoken battle with oryx? The Awoken prince crashed their ship on Mars with mara sov and their still missing. Cabal might be later on but for now we've already defeated all the major cabal threats in the galaxy.
-
Yes I neeeeeeeds its
-
well a cabal raid wouldnt really make much sense, sure hive and vex raids bc they're so mysterious and out there, but fallen have a practical prison and the cabal at best would just have an all out assault against the emperor at this point
-
That would be beyond badass. I want to fight a giant ass Cabal ruler.
-
I have been wanting one for a while. A Cabal raid is going to be pure hell, lol.
