So, Basically, I've noticed that, while using some Fusion Rifles, They really aren't bad.
I simply think its a matter of Competition and misunderstanding of the weapon.
MANY people I know assume you wanna max out range.
What I noticed is you actually need massive Stability on them in order to keep the spread tight and on target.
And then there is the competition. Shitguns And Lane Rifles are so easy to use in Destiny while fusion rifles require more skill over all. The weapon inherently requires more situational awareness to time charges and thumb skill due to having to hold a target.
The weapon relies on good positioning to function truly effectively (arguably even more so than snipers).
So, with the easier to use shotguns and snipers, the Fusion Rifles feel "underpowered" becaue they simply don't have the ease of use of the former 2.

it's not a secret

10 RepliesThe inconsistencies with using a fusion rifle still only make them ok. Even when i use my Thesan, there are a few times where the other guy is left with a sliver of health where previously, i killed that other guy at the same distance. Its hard and frustrating to use a weapon that your not sure will kill someone. You second guess yourself and your dead by the time you make a decision because your fusion didnt charge in time.

8 RepliesI don't know if anyone has used pocket infinity recently, but that thing is broken af. It shreds and super, armour of light titans, juggernaut shields. It's insane.
-
5 RepliesTelesto. One shot, one kill at range. I ran it a bunch of times in IB and did pretty well with it. I know I pissed off a bunch of people with my fire and jump combo. You just have to get into a groove and get the timing down.
-
They're amazing if you know how to use them right.
-
The problem with Fusions in my experience is inconsistency. Take the same shot three times you'll get three different results. To my mind this makes the weapon inviable. Not sure what's causing it but the last couple of nerfs were baffling.

3 RepliesHush my child, this is a grand secret unworthy for those who don't seek it's light. Keep it hidden, keep it safe. Fusion rifles are awesome XD
-
No, they are not
-
Yes nerf them
-
They also have damage problems every once In a wile you will shoot someone and they will take little damage even though your hit was solid. Not often but it's there.
-
no. trust me if anything is good you can't keep it a secret from half a million people. they suck.
-
I want a rifle that has a low charge rate and his legendary
-
Saw a few telesto in IB seemed to do OK.
-
Not really. I see way too many guardians walking right through a direct hit at med/close range from fusion rifles. That shouldn't happen. Fu##ing Bungie's idea of weapon/subclass balancing is nerfing anything remotely good. Most weapons are pure shit right now. After this next balancing act we'll all be throwing wet noodles at each other.

14 RepliesPretty much only thesan works. For some reason plan c can barely hit the side of a barn or even fusion rifle really.
-
But then there's that Queenbreakers, and the game is forever changed... I love Queenbreakers.

6 RepliesThe Telsto wrecks in PvP.

5 RepliesI got fookin hate mail saying "You like being lame and running around using OP Y1 weapons? No skill. Never saw you use a primary. ONLY special the entire game."
I was using the fûkin Trolley Problem fusion rifle from Crota's End

This is why we can't have nice things
1 ReplyUse them in PvE in order to practise. A shot that will melt a Reaver Vandal (or equivalent) will melt a Guardian. In PvE you will discover that the range of even a "short" range Fusion Rifle is much longer than you think. You can easily pick off a static target at Hand Cannon range. learn to track targets with hipfire and ADS as the burst hits 75% charge in order to rapid track as well as gaining ADS perks.

There was a time when if you used a fusion rifle, you were a scrub. Now we are saying you have to be skilled. Lolilol

8 RepliesMy long far gone is nasty

1 ReplyHigh stability is the fusion rifle's shot package. I disagree that it requires more skill than the others, just a different skill. I think it helps that no one else is using them because it makes them more unexpected.

1 ReplyEdited by Delta Vee: 4/5/2016 2:13:26 PMI used the gunsmith fusion for IB and a couple practice trials runs, I was actually doing quite well with it. The Thesan is really good ~TheGreatFila

2 RepliesEdited by Heidegger: 4/5/2016 2:23:03 PMThe amount of TLW and shotgun users I melted this iron banner felt....good

1 ReplyOnce upon a time in, there was a fusion rifle called plug one it was a monster imo that was the best fusion ever. Kinda sad it wasn't in the live stream
-
2 RepliesOnly the ones with the best perks are usable. Plan C only finds its use because of its exotic build. The rest... Eh. Like I said, only the elite fusion rifles are being used to compete with snipers and shotguns
