What's wrong with the BF4 campaign?
I'm playing through it cuz I just got battlefield 4 (I know I'm late). I see a ton of people saying how much it sucks and that it's terrible, but I am really enjoying it I mean it's nothing special but it's a solid story with some really tense moments like the leg part. Maby it's that I've always had a soft spot for war stories but I think it's cool.

1 ReplyIt was decent, but the story was an unfocused mess. The first three missions were amazing (especially the first one), but after that it fell apart. In my opinion, the Battlefield 3 campaign way was better. Even though the gameplay wasn't that good, at least the story was actually pretty interesting.

2 RepliesPlayed through 4 missions my save got deleted, played.through 3 missions my save got deleted.....decided to sit down and finish the entire campaign in one sitting, i got on a day later after beating it to do a different choice in the ending, my save got deleted.

4 RepliesThe first level was really great. Frayed the nerves and tugged at the heartstrings. But the game didn't know what to do with itself after that. The pacing was off, some characters were introduced and killed off in the blink of an eye. Should've been longer, too.

Got to the third mission and the game decided it would erase my progress. Not going to bother with it again, as I find multiplayer much more enjoyable and I have limited time.

It was very enjoyable to me and I played through it on multiple occasions while being bored or just looking for a very cinematic experience.

I got turned off by the campaign when that part happens when you fall about 50 feet off a building plus get crushed by a chunk of that building but you're somehow still alive. WAAT? And this repeats every single mission and gets old really fast.

Got to the end of the second mission and never played it again. I've also re done the first mission at least 4 times because it keeps deleting my save somehow. Probably the reason i don't finish it.

Edited by Crimson Lupi: 4/5/2016 2:33:35 AMIt started out okay (would have been a lot better if Wrecker actually spoke when the men and woman under his command started arguing) but went downhill with the prison, when the game sidesteps away from everything being built up to give us a couple hours of ''run over here and shoot this Easterner for no discernible reason'' with some attempted characterisation for the squad at random moments that really fail to take. [spoiler]Finally, the ending was tacked on and nonsensical, and as mentioned below the save is glitched.[/spoiler]

It wasn't bad, but the writing simultaneously took itself way too seriously (the final choice, abandoning the sailors, the death of that Russian guy) and didn't give enough reason to care about any of the characters. My biggest complaint, though, is that it didn't really offer a good introduction to battlefield. It's a game about creative teamwork even more than it is about skill, and the campaign did very little to emphasize that.

Edited by FailedStrike: 4/5/2016 1:35:17 AMBecause the campaign can be completed in 5 hours, is forgettable. Wastes a cameo on the Russian guy from BF3 only to kill him off at the end of the mission. Oh and the campaign doesn't save thanks to a bug that EA and DICE have completely ignored for over 2 years. I created a thread on the EA Answers forums and it still gets relpies. Idk i only ever got up to the skyscraper part and then i said -blam!- it and started playing online and never touched it again
