Can we get confirmation on fixes for melee detection?

As most of you have noticed, melee detection in this game is pretty broken right now. Not just from an impact standpoint, but also from an ability standpoint. Several times I've used a charged melee, only for it to use the charge without the desired effect. Bladedancers especially suffer from this as their Super ability revolves around the melee. I am one that occasionally uses all 9 subclasses(note: I have easily spent more time as a defender than on any other subclass). I understand that I am one of few that doesn't have a problem going from subclass to subclass. I have made a list of melee issues that I have noticed from my time in the crucible as an average player across all 3 classes (1.1-1.2 k/d while playing objectively across all characters from Jan 2015 when I obtained the game to current). The list: [b][u]Titan[/u][/b] Sunbreaker - charged melee, takes charge but no DoT Striker - shoulder charge only pushes the enemy on occasion Defender - charged melee, takes charge but no Force Barrier; weird detection issues near bubble perimeter [b][u]Hunter[/u][/b] Bladedancer - Backstab procs at weird times (on chest stab and while jumping), Arc Blade does no damage even when the sight and sound of contact is there Gunslinger - Throwing knife does damage, no DoT with active perk Nightstalker - Under no circumstance should a nightstalker melee inside of a bubble. The results are not pretty. (Flying guardians, often with enough force to kill upon impact with a wall). Nightstalkers, please put your blades away inside of the bubble. Especially in PvE activites. [b][u]Warlock[/u][/b] Voidwalker - charged melee, takes charge but no Life Steal/Soul Rip Sunsinger - charged melee, takes charge but no Flame Shield Stormcaller - -blam!- you your melee works fine every damn time, especially the extended range ************************* As you can see, I have noticed issues among 8 out of 9 subclasses. As you can probably tell, I have not used every single node of every single subclass tree. There are probably things I have missed. I use perks that fit my playstyle as a Run & Gun, in your face type of player. [spoiler]Typically, I'm using a Hand Cannon (Appellant III, Imago Loop, Kumakatok), a Pulse Rifle (Grasp of Malok) or sometimes an Auto Rifle (Haakon's Hatchet, Arminius-D) and my usual special weapon of choice is Chaperone with an occasional Fusion Rifle(Plug One.1, Ashraven's, Thesan FR4). Speed and CQC are my things (I digress, but this information is just to show that I like being in melee range).[/spoiler] Anyway, add your melee problems here. Bump it for Bungie. To Bungie, can we please get confirmation that fixes are in progress? None of these are essentially game breaking unless you count Bladedancer's inability to use their Super properly. They are, however, very frustrating at times. So please, confirm that help is on the way. As someone who basically mains Defender, I like to punch things. Make my punches work properly again. Thanks.

      • During IB last week, playing as a Striker Titan with the Discharge skill (charged melees do damage in an AOE), I noticed multiple times that my charge would be used up, the animation would play, I would lunge, but the enemy would take no damage whatsoever, or at the most very minimal damage.

        • Detection across the whole board, not just melee, is awful. There have been soo many times where I've been sniped or shot through a wall. You can even see the bullet trails to confirm. It's really annoying.

          • I've had an issue of wearing The Ram and not getting the life steal proc from charged or regular melee as a void walker so it makes it kinda useless except for whatever armor it gives.

                Also Suncharge during Hammer of Sol and Shoulder charge always whiffs when hitting an airborne enemy even though the melee tracks them.

                  • Warlocks do not need a nerf. I garuntee SunSinger will be shit in PVE because everyone cries in pvp. Bungie is going cater to all those crying little twats in pvp and ultimately kill this class in terms of PVE making warlocks useless. Like everything else they nerf, it becomes trash in PVE. Destiny isn't solely pvp. You guys need to realize PVE players suffer due to the nerfs

                        • Don't forget when using a Sword (both the Sword/Blade of Crota and the "new" swords) or the Aegis (Relic in VoG) melee hits don't register if you aren't standing on a flat surface. If you try to kill a Minotaur with the Aegis in VoG while it's on stairs or an inclined surface, most of your attacks won't register. The same goes for using a Sword in the Crota's End Raid to try an kill enemies on stairs or an incline. These problems have been in the game since day one and have never been fixed.

                        • I've noticed all these as well. It's sad they also notice and bring nothing to people's attention or at least tell us they are aware and will be trying their best to attend to these problems. It takes a post like this for Cozmo to even let us know! Smh

                          • My biggest peeve with defender is when i'm running a shield based bubble (armor, blessing) and my melee is gift of light, when I use the melee charge and start punching orbs out of things, if I touch the bubble, the blessings or armor overwrites the melee charge and no more orbs

                              • The most frequently broken for me seems to be the lifesteal/energy drain activation and the burning/damage of a sunstrike. Doing the quests for melee kills was horrible..
