I don't understand why you people feel the need to break up matches after the one win. I've noticed in my four months of PvP that you guys like to let us win and then "break up the teams". By doing that, i'm almost guaranteed to lose three or four straight.
Whether it be because if a lag, which your last update did not help at all only made it worse, or throwing me into a lobby where my team us down by so many points that it is damn near to impossible to catch up. Oh, and my personal favorite is being broken up 3 or 4 times in a row to be thrown into matches that are already lost with a minute to go.
If players get the tails haded to them in a match, then it is up to us to back out if the lobby. Who do you people think you are just handing players four straight loses with crap K/D's.?
Speaking of crap K/D's, I've also noticed that everyone else's weapon always seems to be a little more powerful than most mine. For instance, I would use the Mida Multitool and get maybe 11 or 12 kills with it, depending on the lag of course, but in the next match the thing is useless. But behold, noe some on the other team only need one shot to kill me. I don't understand that logic. I don't understand how my weapon is good in one match and sucks I'm the next.
One more thing, your secondary weapons are way too powerful. It's not fair to dump 45 out if 54 bullets of a doctrine of passing into a player just so he can turn around and one shot/kill you. This is the first game that I have played where a shotgun Trumps all weapons. Thus would be excepted if you guys made exotics a little more powerful, considering all the crap we have to go through to get them, but you guys didn't do that. Exotic weapons are no more powerful than the weapons you buy from Shaxx.
I was a Call of Duty player for a long time. Friends told me this game was great so I bought it when Taken King came out. The story aspect is wonderful, but your PVP is the worst online gaming experience I've ever had. It's not fair to sit down after work and get aggravated because each lobby throws a new brand of BS at you. It's not. Your PVP is constantly inconsistent, which has completely turned me away from Destiny all together. I hope for future players sake you guys over at bungee take these complaints seriously.
Thanks for reading my gripe and the four months of ridiculous game play.

1 Replyyou know destiny is a pve based game

4 RepliesLike call of duty is any better lol. Same shit almost every damn year, and you want to talk about this game. The last good call of duty was mw2 and ever since every cod has been nothing more than the same bull crap every year. While the pvp in this game is far from perfect, but i'll choose this game over any cod,or fps game today.

6 RepliesOk I have very little idea what you're talking about. Yes lag is an issue that much is obvious, same with getting thrown into losing lobbies. But this thing about getting kills with Mida, then it sucking next match and getting one shot: is it sucking because lag or because you're missing your shots and the opposing player is better than you? Your current average K/D of .86 implies the latter. And getting one shot to kill you by someone on the other team, are you referring to a sniper or a Mida getting a one-shot? Cause bad new, Mida does not kill in one shot. Yes specials are better than primaries, but you don't give a good example of why. You fired 45 bullets of Doctrine into somebody and he still killed you? Sounds like you missed a lot of your shots seeing as how it only takes roughly 20 if you get all body shots at optimal range. Seems pretty fair if you can't hit your target. Also shotguns don't trump all other weapons right now, it's snipers then shotguns. In terms of exotics, yes some of them are lacking. Some of them though are much better like Thorn, Last Word, and Mida. Some you just have to practice with. I use 4th Horseman, a shotgun considered by most to be worse than Conspiracy Theory yet I can destroy other legendary shotgun users. It's all about playing better.

Breaking up matches was meant for the people who LOST the match, even if you won, its going to benefit the people who lost against you, therefore, you are always going to go against a tougher match.

Bump, PVP has ruined destiny imho, all Bungie caters to are PVP players, it has drove myself and all 30-40 people on my friends list away from the game, literally no one plays it anymore. All bc of unnecessary nerfs and bad calls from the dev team, a year and 6 months and I would still call destiny a beta.

"the story aspect is wonderful" - i could not disrespect you more after reading that from you - shame on you and your entire blood line

You're just bad XD

Please do us all a favor and go back to COD.

Edited by Synge_X: 4/5/2016 7:38:06 PMMuch of what you are describing is a result of Destiny's peer-to-peer network structure. This means there are no central servers and the players host the games themselves... You could play with someone in your region one second, and play someone across the world the next. Call of duty uses a similar networking structure, however Cods quick time to kill and simplistic gameplay is not as demanding when it comes to network traffic. In Destiny, there is far too much going on in a typical match to work on peer-to-peer. Unfortunately, this game will never work in PVP and will always feel inconsistent. It is an absolute frustration to play.

2 RepliesLet me go ahead and leave a message for you, Bungie. I'm about to quit playing your game.. Most assuredly if I wasn't so financially invested. So many times do I screwed over by your RNG. I anticipated the recent Iron Banner event for two months. For what? Nothing! Three characters up to rank 5 and guess what I got from your packages. Nothing. A warlock bond that I already have. A titan mark that I already have. And a hunter cloak that I already have. Still don't have a character at 320 because your loot system sucks. Thanks, Bungie.

6 RepliesYes let's make shot guns a 2-3 shot kill, COD has one shot kill shotguns, Halo has one kill shot guns. Most games have 1 shot kill shot guns. Exotics are meant to be "unique" and "rare" not more powerful. They have perks that's one of a kind on them. Imagine playing pvp where you have to use one of the primary exotics to compete? How -blam!-ing dull would that be. I am glad I can use legendary primary and secondary and still be able to win gun fights. Someone get this guy a violin.

I was with you on the auto break up being complete bull shite. I know how to back out of a game and it's a pain in the ass to find a player I want to friend after they boot them on ps4.... Then you had to go all full retard and imply doctrine of passing isn't strong enough... So close but so far.
-
"You played well, Guardian. We will guarantee you don't enjoy your next few matches" Thanks, Bungie

1 ReplyI agree. You shouldn't break up a winning team, especially given how hard it is to find a group you work well with. I don't mind if the one i'm on did bad but don't do it to teams who are doing well. It's amazing how much a person's kd can swing on any one day in this game. Most days I do bad then other days I do really good which makes me question if i'm improving or if the other guys are getting worse.

*sigh This is why we can't have nice things.

It helps to be good at video games

4 RepliesThe reason you think that Destiny's PvP is crap is because you used to play a ton of CoD. The change in gun play is drastic. Play Advanced Warfare for a bit and you'll understand how the jumping and stuff works with gunplay and how to use your vertical space.
-
1 ReplyMida can't one shot,Doctrine takes waaaay less than 45 bullets to kill, and shotguns can easily be countered. Not trying to diss but this sounds like a case of poor gun skill :/
-
3 RepliesLook at the links attached to this and tell me these things are fine, tell me you see nothing wrong, i believe it defiantly needs Nerf, 2 shot last word and skip grenade, i'm a warlock and i also say Nerf storm caller in PVP only! too strong. and Iron banner is so Titan Pushed, really. https://youtu.be/nrlrW-i30eU (skip grande) https://youtu.be/ST9bhHUM_hA (2 shot last word)

I have had a similar experience in what you mention in your first four paragraphs. When you do well, it seems like the last resort is simply place you in high latency matches. And I too have certainly experienced that as I played more, my weapons began to feel less and less effective... It is the strangest thing... but if I am on the designer side it kinda makes sense... keep your high skill level players engaged by increasing their challenge no matter what the cost (stealth nerfs, increased latency).

I agree

2 RepliesEdited by andyherreravillegas: 4/4/2016 5:54:23 PMYou totally hit it on the nail buddy. These are the EXACT -blam!-ing problems that I've been having with Destinys PVP. No, it's not our skill level that's affecting our gaming experience, it's Bungie's BS. I'm very good in pvp, but like it says here, one weapon will be very good in one match then useless in the next while someone on the opposing team with the same weapon manages to take you out with 2 or three shots while it takes you a whole magazine with the same weapon. Don't even get me started with the ducking ridiculous lag issues, I'll be playing with people who have shitty connections and I'll get wreck by them because they're so freaking laggy that they're teleporting all over the screen and shit. How the -blam!- are we supposed to anticipate an enemy that can appear right in front of you out of nowhere? There's always at least 2 or 3 people in the matches I play that I super laggy. No amount of -blam!-ing trouble shooting guides or articles is going to fix the lag problem, be real now.
