I put together a few pros and cons to the two systems and want to see if people agree or have their own to add.
Oh and I own both in day one configuration.
PS4 PROs:
Games run smoother and at a higher quality.
Controller is considered perfection by many (and has been since the dual shock 1)
USB ports (2) are on the front
EDIT: Extremely easy to switch controllers. Turn on. Select profile. Done.
PS4 CONs:
Space runs up fast and you can't add an external drive to run games off of (hopefully in the future we can)
Interface can be confusing for people.
Seems to be geared for solo game play as the messaging and chat have a lot of unnecessary steps to activate.
EDIT: Forced to recharge controllers with no back up option (though I use another controller as backup)
Xbox ONE PROs:
Games can be ran on an external drive (This is big for me and I use a 4TB) EDIT: Oh and you can tether two drives together!!!! Awesome!
Membership seems to offer better games for free.
Accessing chat and messages is so much more streamlined, perfect for gaming with others over the net.
EDIT: controllers can use regular AA batteries or premium rechargables.
Xbox ONE CONs:
Interface seems to change once we get used to it!
Controllers seem to beak all the time (I am extremely careful and play with a light grip and still broke two)
Games seem to run a little glitchy.
USB port (1) is on the side??!?! Every knows the front is where it goes!
EDIT: extremely slow to change controllers (though there is no need since you can just change batteries)
EDIT 2: Controllers have a shorter range than the Xbox 360 (I get disconnect when I take my controller into the other room but still want to be in the chat party)
All this being said, I would go with the PS4 100% of the time if we could use an external dive to run games off of.
Please add your own likes and dislikes:

2 RepliesNot wanting to sound like an asshole but no one really cares, instead of fuelling the console wars for idiots just let people buy what system they want to buy without having to draw out loads of comparisons that no one cares about.

2 RepliesSome of the Xbox cons you listed I have never happened before. My controller I have had for 3 years now is still working fine. Game glitches. Very rare for me. And controller distance. I can bring it all the way to the 3rd floor of my house and it's still fine. Maybe buy better equipment?

1 ReplyUSB port one is on the side for the external hard drive.

1 ReplyPS4 Pro You can backup saves to a USB Stick Con No easy access to battery making it harder to switch out on the go
Controller is considered perfection by many (and has been since the dual shock 1)
both sides control is considered perfection by many of its users
Interface can be confusing for people.
same can be said for both
Seems to be geared for solo game play as the messaging and chat have a lot of unnecessary steps to activate.
not really true, you do get occasions where you need to take an extra step to do something compared to the other console but I wouldn't say that that makes it geared to solo gameplay
Membership seems to offer better games for free.

USB port (1) is on the side??!?! Every knows the front is where it goes!
personal preference
Games seem to run a little glitchy.
same for both on occasions these next few come down to personal experience
Controllers seem to beak all the time (I am extremely careful and play with a light grip and still broke two)
you have that problem with X1 controls while another will have the same thing with PS4 controls
extremely slow to change controllers (though there is no need since you can just change batteries)
personally mine charge in about an hour depending on the charge while using an official battery pack, keep in mind that battery charges can vary
Controllers have a shorter range than the Xbox 360 (I get disconnect when I take my controller into the other room but still want to be in the chat party)
mine still works while down in the kitchen same as 360 (around about 10 meters and through a wall and floor)
