So when TF did Datto become the Community spokesperson?
Finally read the new update on this OP companion App
Didn't this guy quit Destiny because he got butthurt over SBMM and how weak the Raid Challenges were? Now he is "coming back"?
Why were his questions answered and not everyone else's? His questions were pointless and a waste of time and now Bungie thinks all important questions have been answered.
He asked questions about "appearance". Not the content of the update, but how a guardian looks.
GTFO.

9 RepliesI'd rather have True Vanguard be the voice, because he IS the voice of the hardcore community. He just doesn't have a big enough following which he deserves. The best youtuber and streamer for crucible IMO.

3 RepliesEdited by SuperKamiGuru94: 4/3/2016 6:28:17 PMI mean I'd think true vanguard would be a much better person for the spokesperson of the community, I don't know datto personally but he comes off a little full of himself on his videos, and doesn't really make content that has meaning or is educational about the game, true vanguard helps players, gives advice, is humble, doesn't take himself or the game too seriously and has found a a way to continue to make relevant content through out this content drought. Once again not trying to bad mouth datto too much just think that there are better options, but when it comes down to it, WHY DOES IT MATTER WHO ASK QUESTIONS TO BUNGIE WHEN THEY DICTATE THE QUESTIONS YOU ARE ALLOWED TO ASK!

Have to say I'm mainly coming back to the update just to make my guardian look good. Everything else is just a bonus. Aesthetics > Weapons

Datto himself never said he was the voice of the community. So stop mindlessly throwing hate at him cause he sure as hell does not deserve nor does he owe anybody shit. We are all part of the community and are free to voice our opinions. Datto like everyone else enjoys the game and is simply just inquiring. If it sounds like i am defending him well Yes i am because people cant seem to be reasoned with. So their throwing their shade for the game at another human being. Last thing this community needs is people trying to put others down. You got a problem then voice it out and bungie will answer. Its that simple

After the stream Datto just sended in alot of questions to someone within Bungie. As a streamer that got big because of Destiny he has some contacts within the company since he had his arm very deep inside the dark part of a certain area of a human body. When he figured out that it only would bring him that far he started bashing on Destiny but still kept nice enough to keep the contacts. Bottem line is, he sended in alot of questions. Some were good, others not that important. Deej just picked a few from that list and answered them. Let me also add that i am not a Datto fanboy. The opposite really since he is kinda a spoiled little brat in my opinion. But he did have a few good pointers in the vid he made after the stream.

Watched a wide range of his videos and not once, has he ever pointed out the poor business practices bungie has been pulling since launch or how piss poor their attitude has been towards the community since launch. Its been nothing but praise for bungie except for that "things are dry" video(think thats what its called). The only youtuber that i honestly trust is "my name is byf". Hes objective, straight to the point, and presents his disappointments with bungie and his thoughts how to make destiny better. Plus, he also has some pretty clutch moments in crucible and is pretty damn good.

He's not the spokesperson. He's a well known Destiny player and user content creator that asked questions that were the right combination of things many others were asking and things bungie was willing to answer. Why does everyone get butthurt at well-known players being acknowledged by Bungie?

unfortunately i think Bungie listen to the vocal 1% streamers way way too much. It's why only like 9% of players did kings fall. They listened to them and made a super involved, super long, war of attrition where you'll get shards at the end.
