Good evening, im a level 305 titan. On march 25 around 6 a.m. I purchased an exotic legacy engram from xur. When I decoded it at my highest level 305 it gave me a year one version of the red death. All I ask from you bungie is please pay me back with a year two read death at light level 310?

Edited by Kell of Kellogs: 3/29/2016 11:03:23 PMThat was a legacy Engram. They only decrypt into year 1 items. They are intended to help users complete their year 1 collections of weapons and armor.
Lastly, Xûr will also choose a Legacy Engram every week. These Engrams contain Year One Exotics (at Year One Attack and Defense levels) for players who want to finish up a Collection. They strongly bias towards Exotics not already in your Blueprint Collection, to help fill in the blank slots - excluding Mythoclast and Necrochasm, which are still only available from their Year One sources
https://www.bungie.net/en/News/News?aid=13575 Please note: Bungie is unable to restore or refund purchases, accidental or otherwise https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12211

You kind of answered your own question in describing the engram. Legacy engrams will only decrypt legacy items, i.e. Year One values.

Legacy engrams only give year one things. You should be able to buy a year two version from the exotic weapon kiosk. :)

1 ReplyEdited by catrodsan: 3/29/2016 11:02:10 PMLegacy engrams are year on guns at year one values. Dismantle your year one gun and buy the year two version from the kiosk. It'll be at 280. Infuse it.

Edited by MochaKat: 3/29/2016 11:03:27 PMNo. Legacy engrams are y1...since they've been introduced, they will only and always decrypt at y1 value. Unless it was a ttk primary engram, you wouldn't have gotten a y2 Red Death
