Longevity is a terrible comparison.
Quit using "the division won't have the same longevity as destiny" as an argument for destiny. No other game has promised a 10 year life span. Ubisoft has not made any remarks about how long their game will last so you should expect it to be like pretty much any other game on the market other than destiny. Destiny is a problem because of the idiotic company behind it promising a 10 year life cycle when they can't keep up that amount of content. So saying that you can't compare the two is bull shit. Longevity shouldn't even be a question when arguing the two because once again Ubisoft never promised 10 years or any amount of time for that matter. You can compare class building, gunplay, story, and a number of other things regardless of how long the games have been out. Just because destiny has been out for 2 years doesn't mean the story isn't and wasn't ass from the very beginning. And also enough of this destiny is dead and division is killing it bull shit. The only thing that will kill destiny is Bungo. Bungo needs to get their crap together with destiny 2. I say destiny 2 because I have given up hope for destiny. Bungie you should not promise a life span so long when you can't provide that. It is your own fault you are in the situation you're in. Treating the community like crap and not giving them what they want is what will kill your game. Listen to the people for destiny 2. They have way better ideas than you do I promise.

3 RepliesI've been playing the division. I agree 100% Destiny has a horrible rng system and duplication problem that has existed since day one. Two years in and not only do these issues remain unsolved, they are worse in the light level system now in effect with TTK. If you can't get the Midas to drop you can craft a high end lmg that could have talents even better for your build and play style. Don't have enough high end gear to make it through a challenging mission? The dailies reward 15 Phoenix credits as well as drops from bosses. In no time you'll be buying or crafting enough high end gear to give the level 32 enemies a hard time. Matchmaking for challenging missions takes minutes. If I find I'm matched into a team incapable of completing it I'll know right away and try again. Soon I'll be in a group I can successfully complete the mission with. Finding people to raid with can take up to an hour or more on the LFGs. If I find I'm in a weak fireteam I'll probably not get to do a raid at all that day considering the time it takes to find another. The division isn't a better game than Destiny. Massive has made better choices in the division's system. Besides the lag and bug issues- what are the biggest complaints players have with Destiny? Horrible rng/light level/duplication issues that unnecessarily impedes reasonable progress. Lack of matchmaking for raids/nightfalls/ToO/PoE that forces players to have to leave the game to find teammates on LFGs that can take hours or be rejected outright due to light level or other requirements such as the touch of malice and the black spindle. No matter how beautiful the visuals in a game are, no matter how snappy and cool the gunplay is or majestically awesome the soundtrack- if players are consistently disappointed they'll move on to other games. Day one playing Destiny I felt the same way that many did about it. It's a flawed game that has the potential for greatness. Bungie has failed to fulfill that potential in absolutely epic proportions.
