Fireteam for two </3

I had a good feeling about this one. I'd done all of the proper wooing prior to the date. Mirror selfie? Check. Fresh emotes? Check. Sweet new nightfall ghost shell? Triple check. I was even going to use those gauntlets later to make my explosive last twice as long. All preparation aside, the only thing on the menu would be regret. It started out well enough. I ordered the Smith Steak, she had the stuffed Tacoverse ala' Dague. They say the best treasures are always hidden in plain site, and mine was just feet away. Alas, my flux grenades were not to detonate tonight. I excused myself from the table to use the Little Hunter's room, and that's when I heard it. As I turned away from her, a scream to rival Omnigul on a HoW twitch reveal. This scream, was coming from my table. As it turns out, this is when she saw my class item. I consider myself a classy guy. Roguish, if I may be so bold. Nothing could prepare her, however, for the shaderless cloak. If love at first site exists, this was the opposite. My clashing class item bore into her eyes--neigh---her very soul. Like the eyes of an innocent child for the first time witnessing the dark parts of YouTube. I knew in this fleeting, terrible moment, I had scarred her. She may well never love again. For me, it was over. The only course that remained was to flee. And so, I fled. With the speed of a lagging Stormcaller, and the deft of a retreating Hunter, I vanished. I could never return. I had to start over...entirely. Leaving the local system behind, I found solace in the Reef. I attached two prosthetic arms to my chiseled, yet worn body. I abandoned my gun for the life of a staff, or perhaps I was compensating. I live a quiet, broken life now. Petra is a heavy sleeper, though.... For now, I wait.
