Good day fellow gamers.
I'm having some trouble adapting to my newfound infatuation with Pvping on my Hunter.
I'm running Nightstalker with Quiver. I have the cookie cutter combo equipped (TWL/1000ys) but I don't like this style of play. Seems like I would need Bladedancer with that quickswitch perk to make this work. I'm used to a scout or autorifles from playing on my Titan.
Also, seems like shadestep gets me killed more often than not.
Any tips from some hardened Hunters would be appreciated. I'm interested in using Nightstalker sub.

Run full Discipline and Strength. The majority of your kills will come from your wombo combo. Use Black Hole instead of Quiver if you are playing 3v3. Shadow shot is way better as a defensive super rather than an offensive one. Play corners so that you can just Shadestep into cover if you need it. Good complimentary guns seem to be TLW if you play aggressively, Mida if you play passively and a Shotgun if you want to take advantage of Vanish in Smoke. Good exotics seem to be Bones of Eao, Graviton Forfeit (for free Shadestep) and Grasps of Arhamkara (for an additional smoke bomb).

Whenever I'm running nightstalker, I put on my Graviton forfeit. In that way, I could shadestep as well as having predator on my quiver. Predator makes the arrows you shoot last longer.

Edited by badhorse2000: 4/3/2016 1:16:33 PMForget Nightstalker. Play Gunslinger with full INT/DIS setup and Ahamkara Spines (trip mines, tripmines then some more tripmines) and max out the armor stat plus a solar armor buff chest. Now you're unstoppable. If you simple must play as Nightstalker I would recommend a full INT/STR built with sealed Ahamkara Grips and the Monte Carlo auto rifle. I hope you like the smoke melee!

Switch to golden gun :) I play much better with gg. I used to almost exclusively play blade dancer but the hit detection sucks and makes the super so bad. Put on single point sling on your last word so you switch weapons faster, makes quickdraw a little less needed

Delete it and start a Titan

You can do quiver if you have shade step on and you shade step cancel while you do it. It throws them off every time.
-
Hunter pvp tips, go invisible n shotgun people, then you too can be a melanoma

Don't use quiver, they will team shoot you out of the sky before you get a second shot off. Use the black hole build and learn to drop it in front of supers and heavy ammo. Don't expect team wipes. Max discipline and strength. The stink bombs are great for 'flipping' loosing engagements, but prediction is necessary. The grenades are great for territorial lockdown (if you're being chased, throw one at your feet. When you hear them run into it shade step backwards and finish them off). If you get the chance, whombo combo can mess a team up. I like posting them into titan bubbles and laugh as the safe haven turns into a massacre. Try and use shade step defensively to 'nope' out of loosing engagements (also, to check every corner). Even staying alive an extra second gives your teammate a chance to kill your aggressor. Get out of the habit of jumping to dodge, it's not p v e and staying low is normally a better move. Get a graviton forfeit. The Amankara grasps are nice but two stink bombs are excessive and only useful once a game, shade step should be used 5 times a minute. You'd be surprise how many people don't know what 'hunted' means. Move position after a 'draw' engagement and headshot them as they try and outflank you. Happy hunting! Expect changes in a week or so.

Just turn up

3 RepliesI play golden gun, scout, sniper, rocket. I use accuracy, distance and agility to dominate the battle arena. Play smart pick your shots and work off what your team mates are doing.
-
I use blackhole over quiver, shadowshot is better as a defensive super
-
If you want a typical hunter night stalker armor build look at my hunter. I would suggest multi-tool and a good shotgun for shade step shot gunning. Take time and practice using shade step
-
If you want a very fun-yet-difficult-to-use closeout, try Nightstalker with NLB and a fusion rifle. If you're sniping, use a Shadestep right after you take a shot to avoid counter-fire.

Blade dancer, backstab, shotty, blink, hungering blade, check my recent games on my hunter, all of those are blade dancer games.

Edited by TheGreatReebok: 3/31/2016 10:50:33 PMUse Nightstalker, Black Hole, Keen Scout, Gravaton Forfeit, and Stillpiercer/Fusion/Shotgun. Play super aggressive. Use Bladedancer, and play aggressive. That's all. ~TheGreatReebok

5 RepliesFor The Last Word use the single point sling perk. Lower recoil really doesn't matter much on it and high recoil can actually help you walk bullets to the head. It also helps you recover the weapon after a melee or grenade.
-
Run a high impact Scout (Cocytus, Last Extremity, etc.) with any sidearm. Gunslinger works well with this combo cuz Throwing Knives. Just check my Hunter's entire arsenal.
-
Use black hole, void wall nade (my personal preference), toxic on the smoke, and obviously shadestep. If you want to shotgun use shadestep. It's a pretty effective way to shotgun as a night stalker. Go to fallout plays on utube and look at his Nightstalker vid

Blink shotty

I'm surprised nobody has made a pvp guide.

Use what I have on right now.

1 Reply1. Envenomed and either Voidwall or Vortex ( your choice) 2. I would recommend Black Hole over Quiver just because overall it seems more beneficial, especially in objective based game modes 3. Honestly I don't like Shadestep very much either, I'd just stick to Keen Scout. As far as weapon loadouts, I suggest trying Single Point Sling on your Last Word as it will reduce the swap time of weapons and make transitioning to your secondary much quicker and more fluent. If you want to use a scout rifle maybe try running the MIDA with the Quickdraw perk to increase weapon swap time as well. You can ask me more questions if you'd like. Just trying to help.

Voidwall Better Control Black Hole Envenomed Lockdown Shadestep Disc/Strength build Bones of Eao Mida/Grasp/PDX-45 Shotgun OR Skip grenade Blink Razors Edge Backstab QuickDraw Hungering Blade Int/Dis build TLW Sniper Your choice of exotic (probably quick-res)

Gunslinger. Spine. Double knives. Mida/ironwreath. Gunslinger trance. Most potent offence in the game. Arguably.

7 RepliesThe best NStalker build I saw was: Controlled jump Shadestep Max agility Bones of Eao This build allows for complete direction change, whenever. It's great for confusing enemies and goes hand-in-hand with smoke.

Bladedancer is good for shotgunners Gunslingers throwing knives are your best friend Enemies caught in smoke are easy to pick off Really all I got :/
