Help!? Gunzerker OR Kreig
So I just picked up borderlands2 handsome collection. I'm trying to decide between gunzerker and psycho kreig. The person I'll be playing with is going to play Maya.
Which one do you prefer and why?

As a disclaimer, I don't have a gunzerker character. I do, however, have a pretty kickass psycho. If you spec right, you can build the unbeatable melee character of your dreams. You'll be beating down bandits left and right, and prove once and for all that you truly do have the shiniest meat bicycle. He isn't that useful in soloing most raids, though, and because he can't grenade jump, most of the exploits won't work either. If you're really into the idea of raiding versus regular mob fighting, you might want to go with a gunzerker.

Krieg is an absolute beast at taking out mobs towards the endgame, especially when combined with Maya's Phaselock. The Gunzerker is equally as hard to level up in the early-game, but is much more equipped to take out raid bosses IMO. If you're just playing for fun I'd recommend the Psycho, but if you want a solid raid character I'd go with the Gunzerker.

Gunzerker is op, Krieg is fun. It's really your choice, but I'd go for Krieg.

My Krieg has phases where he really [i]can't[/i] die. Essentially: you hold the grognozzle, and have a Flame of the Firehawk shield that's on par for your level. This works in tandem with both the mania and Hellborn trees. Hellborn features a skill that reduces incoming damage up to 50% while you are on fire, and another that gives you up to (I think) 15% healing on Fire damage you deal. The grog nozzle gives you 65% healing on [i]all[/i] damage you deal. There may be caps on healing or something that I don't know about, but it's a ton of heals. So with a good Firehawk, you can wade through crowds of enemies, badasses, ultimate badasses, it really doesn't matter. As long as you're walking through, slagging people with the grog and smacking people with your basic melee that has at least a 450% buff on it at all times through the mania tree, all while your Firehawk is popping 200+k damage on enemies around you every second, they literally can't bring your health down below 95%. Because you're healing [i]far[/i] more damage than they're dealing. It's broken as -blam!-. [i]And on the off chance that they do bring you down;[/i] the final perk in the mania tree assures that if your health drops below 33% you can activate rampage and gain [i]all[/i] your health back, gain increased damage resistance, and a shit ton of melee damage. And when activating rampage you have a good two seconds of invincibility while you go through an animation. Krieg is the most fun to me because I feel it's the most involved. You get to be up close slashing away at enemies, and being on fire becomes a [i]good thing.[/i]

Krieg is fun, especially later in the game when you become a nearly unstoppable rage tank

Do you like being able to solo raid bosses, or do you like being able to tank damage and run around mindlessly, 1-2 hit killing just about any enemy you come across? Answering that question will give you your answer

Gunzerker is a solid option as he can regenerate ammo and with dual wield can slag and kill simultaneously. Great for solo and great for teams as he can tank. Krieg is tricky as he will feel weak at lower levels and hard to solo but with a siren as backup he will survive. When you get down his skill tree he becomes incredibly powerful with release the beast as you can basically use your action skill anytime you're in combat. Maya and krieg can also have the ability to instant revive each other. If you're looking for pure destructive fun krieg is that role.

Kreig is a dead-end character unless you've got godly setups, where as the gunzerker is a walking glitch. I'd take the glitch.
