Like seriously...it's the first decent AUTO RIFLE since the Suros days and the ONLY decent bullet hose ever!
So what that you got melted at close range because you don't know how to use the last word?! Get over it!
Honestly, if you bitch about the doctrine being OP then you suck at this game and need to stay out of the crucible.

It's not the fact it shreds, it's the insane range with no damage drop off.
-
1 ReplyHoly b8
-
The only reason I consider it OP is because people can melt you from crazy ranges with it as if the weapon has no damage drop off. If I am shooting someone and tagging them with a scout or pulse rifle from scout ranges and I get melted from that range with a Doctrine there is a problem.
-
1 ReplyFor once I'd like someone who uses something OP to admit it's op. Sunbreaker was OP, I admitted it and abused it Thorn was OP, I admitted it and abused it Vex mythoclast was OP, I admitted it and abused it Shotguns were OP, -blam!- SHOTGUNNERS THEY TAKE NO SKILL -blam!- YOU Point being, you have to look at things objectively.
-
Epilogue was amazing back in the day till I got a time piece to drop
-
3 RepliesWhen a single ar can kill a sunbreaker faster than the time it takes a thrown a hammer to land at the same range... there is a problem
-
3 RepliesEdited by kevinwesmith: 3/27/2016 3:29:01 AMThe time to kill with doctrine is less than 1 second, that's why people say it's OP, personally I just want one.
-
Decent is being a little reserved. That thing is a monster. That gun melts you in no time. It easily outguns heavy machine guns.
-
Doctrine is extremely annoying, but it's not op. Leave it alone
-
I just can't do auto rifles so I'm just terrible with that thing.
-
Because it feels like a heavy machine gun when you get hit by it.
-
People naturally love using auto rifles because of their sprayability (that's not a word lol) and therefore use Doctrine of passing because it's the only auto rifle that's actually in a good spot right now.
-
"Because you don't know how to use the last word" I don't even know what to say
-
In my opinion it's needs a slight nerf in stability
-
Necrochasm is better except the light level. Bungie better not need that gun again I swear
-
2 RepliesIt's not OP, just over used. People tend to lack the ability to differentiate between the two, I'm glad to see a decent auto after the mess that was most of year 1 autos.
-
People get killed by it, they complain.

5 RepliesEdited by So 0mnipotent: 3/27/2016 2:26:54 AMPeople don't understand that the gun performs as it should for it's archetype. High ROF, low impact... If the user can consistently land headshots then yeah, you're going to get melted, it's not like it's rocket science or anything, but yet it still manages to go right over peoples heads
-
9 RepliesBecause apparently holding down RT spraying down at ranges you shouldn't compete at with no damage drop off is "skilled".
-
7 RepliesThat's right defend that garbage, just play the game as cheap as possible I guess the bad players need something to help them contend. Then again no one cares anymore.
kids like you make the game less fun for everyone
-
3 RepliesEverybody wants to go to heaven, nobody wants dead
-
My guess is because it's currently effective outside of shotgun range which is called "formerly shotgun range"
-
It's not that it's OP. It's the lack of variety in that particular archetype. Same goes for the 1K.
-
Because anything that kills you is immediately OP and should be nerfed, but once you get it it's completely fine.
-
Because it can compete in a special weapon meta
-
I personally think the doctorine sucks in comparison to haakons ratchet
