I believe you end up fighting Malok where the giant hive knight was in shrine of oryx mission. You might pass through the area where you fight phogoth on the way. They're trying to keep what they have left of their fanbase by dropping info/DLC when other games are released. It's never a good idea to do that imo.

Looks like a Sardok, Eye of Oryx reskinned as taken in the shrine of oryx.

Melok is not fought in the Phogoth room, but I do think part of his quest takes place there. If you observe the images then you will notice it is in the Shrine of Oryx however, so Bungie is still reusing things.

All I know is that we can finally get our strike exclusive helm for hunters!
