I'm not trying to trash on Bungie or anything, and I realize Destiny and The Division are two very different games, but I love the fact that The Division has only been out for two weeks and we're already getting a serious quality of play adjustment. It seems like an update like this would never have come from Bungie and if something similar was attempted it would be a huge disappointment (i.e. Sunbreaker nerf or weapon 'balancing' or just about every other update). Thought I'd bring it up. Just to be a twat I guess..
edit: Ubisoft is a publisher, Bungie is a developer. I should've used either Massive vs. Bungie or Ubisoft vs. Activision. My bad.

5 RepliesOnly played the beta of Division, but honestly I could tell that it's boring, and while both games have big flaws in many regards Destiny gets something very right, the shooting. It just feels so good and refined, while the Division's shooting and movement is clunky, Angry Joe actually sums it up really well.

The division is great I love it but the game mechanics are no different than the last 7 or 8 assassins creed games. Yes there are different things and stuff they have improved on but for the most part division was built on a tried and true platform compared to destiny which is 100% brand new never been done. If destiny lasted to number 7 bungie should be on autopilot like the division is. In short if you look past division being a RPG and destiny is a "MMO" you are still comparing apples to oranges.

Bungie does plenty of updates when the game or dlc first comes out. Then they wait a while and do them in big updates.
-
I have been playing Division the last couple of weeks. It's cool for sure but the graphics, gameplay, shooting mechanics and attraction are a distant second place to destiny. It's like saying a Ferrari and a Lexus are cars therefore they are the same. Don't get me wrong - Lexus is a nice car and it's fun. But it ain't no Ferrari. Stop comparing Ubisoft who has made usually disappointing games to bungie who has developed two of the most successful franchise games in history.

The division uses destiny as it's personal toilet. It's base version has more content than all of year one and two destiny. Butthole is a disgrace and the laughing stock of video games, even more than Nintendo.
-
Division fixes: less than a week Destiny fixes: a few months Seriously, I love Destiny but Bungie can't seem to fix anything in any sort of time frame.
-
7 RepliesThe problem is The Division is dull, really dull.
-
4 RepliesThe devs during year one we're updating constantly durning the first few months just like the division
-
1 Reply? ubisoft broke the game with the update lol no penalty rogue status haven't played in a week since I'm concentrating on my 3rd witcher play through on ng+ to have my toon ready for wine and blood and still haven't done the last dlc...can't wait for their new game cyberpunk 2077...probably the best dev atm and keeping fingers crossed square makes a comeback
-
But we are stuck with activision, why couldnt we get massive on the division and destiny. Activision with all this money stuff.

Edited by OhtheHugeManity: 3/24/2016 10:53:28 PMWas about to correct title. Then I saw the edit. I think you should rename the title to Ubisoft vs Activision Or Massive vs Bungie

Why isn't this a poll

See Strange Coin Guy Strange Coin Guy goes to work Strange Coin Guy comes home to play Destiny Strange coin guy goes on the forum and doesn't bitch about new content or for nerfs. Be Like Strange Coin Guy
-
3 RepliesI'm probably gonna be jumping on the Division bandwagon. There is no way I'm buying the TTK DLC and levelling up again. Or can you transfer your character from 360 to Xbox1?
-
1 ReplyWay to correct yourself with the edit there.

3 RepliesOne... Why do you feel the need to come on a Destiny site and talk about the division? Two... The game has been out a few weeks and it's already boring people. It's not the same caliber as Destiny. Not one will be playing it two years from now. And that's fine... It's just a game.:: I have it... It's ok... Not great. Not terrible. Only a real loser, in my opinion, needs to come in gaming forums to talk about other games. You are like the guy that is poorly endowed that buys a big truck.
-
16 RepliesDestiny is 2 years old. Division is 2 weeks old. In 2 years you won't be talking about the division. In 2 more years destiny will still be talked about.
I think that sums everything up lol
-
33 RepliesBungie actually listen Ubisoft do what they want.
-
Edited by Xader4Ever: 3/24/2016 4:00:03 PMThisis destiny servers no the division servers... But my opinion is simple. Bungie lied to everyone abt thir game and made loads of profits with this semi mmorpg. Other companies saw it and are doing the same. The division is Destiny in another timeline/game made by different publishers. Just like any other semi mmorpg games comming very soon will be. Cuz the gamers are factories of money. I blame stupid mobile games and their F2P micro-transactions. Bungie showed everyone that no story and less content gives higher profits. So all other devs are now doing the same. Welcome to the future of gaming

8 RepliesThey're both fun. The PvE is great in The Division but pvp (IB specifically) is way more fun in Destiny. IMO.
-
2 RepliesProbably becuase bungie has a contract with Activision and they -blam!-ed up bungie
-
1 ReplyYou obviously don't understand that this update has been worked on by a small team for a few months now. This update has already been conceived and was being worked on before the division came out.
-
5 RepliesEither way destiny has far more content than the division. Don't get me wrong I play the division and enjoy it just once hit Max level there is very little to do.
-
We all realize that. Go play whatever get your dick hard. No need to state things everyone knows already.
-
More like ubisoft vs bungie vs old bungie
