41 RepliesNot gonna lie, I do feel like you are out to destroy The Division, Not sure why though because everyone on here will be back on Destiny come April 12th.
-
I can choose my appearance in the division without it being affected by stats, in destiny I can choose a color
-
In terms of what the world looks like, the division looks better, but in terms of clothing and loot destiny looks way better.
-
Asthetic wise it's preference one is a scifi the other is semi realism. Mechanically speaking though division is ahead in that department. Due to things like god rays, dynamic weather, actual light not pre rendered etc. Customization also division. And there is no arguing there. More depth to your character by far. But as far as creating your actual character in the beginning both were shit.
-
I do feel like the weapons and armor, particularly the exotics, look more unique in destiny. The armor and weapons in the division look pretty much the same to me
-
Destiny. But if it was ANY GAME, then I probably would have chosen Halo Reach
-
Aesthetics go for Division. Customization I will get back to you on when I have more experience
-
Destiny has way better customization in terms of apperance. Although, weapon modding is top notch in division.
-
Completely different in game environments. Can't compare. Stop.
-
World of warcraft
-
4 RepliesDestiny has cooler aesthetics, division has better customization, so this question is poorly phrased
-
Edited by Carmine100: 3/23/2016 3:46:18 PMDestiny art style is miles ahead of the division and I played both
-
Edited by an engram full of bees: 3/23/2016 3:21:57 PMDo I want a glowing purple helmet that makes me look like Ultron, or a shit-colored slouchie. Decisions, decisions, decisions...
-
Unless it's a peace of raid gear or Vangaurd armor everything looks the same, however every jacket and hat is practically the same. In conclusion, I will say both games IMO lack in cosmetic customization.
-
2 RepliesDestiny is certainly more visually appealing. Doesn't speak for game quality... People here seem to be afraid to say anything good about Destiny at all lol
-
Aesthetic? Destiny. Bungie was basically able to create their own game world from scratch. Customization? The Division in a walkaway. Each weapon has randomly assigned "talents' (perks)...but Mods offer a near endless array of customization options beyond that.
-
2 RepliesAliens and robots and zombies and space magic and mythic armour > grey jackets and beanies.
-
2 RepliesRemember what the division looked like when it was announced before the graphics were downgraded? Peperadge farm remembers.
-
The Division has way more options and choices, all of them ugly as hell.
-
Character creator customization? They're about the same. Armor customization? About the same. Some armor in destiny looks good. Some armor in Division looks good. The only difference is in the Division you can cover it up by wearing clothing. Weapon customization? Division has destiny beat by a country mile.
-
Destiny looks much better, aesthetically. The Division has more customization options. Your poll doesn't accurately reflect that.
-
1 ReplyThe Division has more and better customization but Destiny has the looks even though there is little to no customization. Division is better Destiny looks likes nicer
-
Edited by Helljumper: 3/22/2016 5:07:27 PMIn destiny, the only thing you can freely customize without having to worry about stats is your shader. 10/10 best customization ever.
-
I kind of feel like the division is hit or miss sometimes. Stone of the trash is obviously bland but there is a lot of detail. The lighting and weather effects are amazing in a subtle way.
-
I prefer the fictional nature of Destiny's customization. Suits of varied armor and bright colors suit me better than: jacket. Jacket. Jacket with stripes. Jacket
-
The problem with destiny is that you dont have a cosmetic option for armor so your stuck with whatever armor is best. In the division you can change your clothing no matter your level.
