Quodron definitely sucked, especially if you didn't know what you were doing. That said, when Crota's End came out, my friends and I took over a week of fighting Crota all night to finally get it done.
When it was all over I got an nlb, then cried myself to sleep.

I thought he was hard until I got gjallarhorn and soloed the raid back in the day. The first time I soloed it was probably the best feeling I've experienced in this game

Yeah, I know a guy who used to solo it regularly for fun. Not even for the drops. And of course, Gjallarhorn made everything easy mode.
