So, i finally completed the challenge mode this week on all my toons about a half hour ago. But do you want to know the total time it took for me to do it with a bunch of random people (hopping groups when things looked completely hopeless)? about 3 hours.... it should've taken 45min tops for 3 characters (taking into consideration the time it takes to set up, do the fight, change characters, swap gear 45 min is more than enough). I know i'm sounding like an elitist douchebag here but i can't help it, the raid in general is extremely easy and as an individual i could likely go the entire raid barely even taking a hit let alone dying. But other people seem to not understand the concept of cover. On warpriest there are spots at both platforms that give perfect cover from the warpriest himself aswell as near perfect cover from oncoming enemies assuming you are killing them as soon as they spawn. Down in the middle you can completely avoid warpriest and all acolytes and potential ogrelytes just by staying under the platform and watching the door behind your partner to make sure he/she isn't scratched to death by thralls. Instead people insist on staying in the line of fire of everything at once and dying.

1 ReplySimple, have an actual raid group that you raid with each week. My raid group gets through the raid without dying.

2 RepliesWhy do people still raid is a better question.
-
Because a lot of casuals who dont know how to play video games play this game

1 ReplyEdited by KayOsS882: 3/23/2016 3:42:26 PMNow, I raid with all randoms bbut I have never not finish a raid. I know a lot of people don't like the "know it all guy" or " the guy who tell people what to do". However, Ill usually do what people want to do but after 5-6 wipes, I will slowly take over and make adjustments. If one guy continue to die at a particular role, I will change his role. I do it in a respectful and polite way. Sometime if something don't work you have to learn to make adjustments and must be patience.

I apologize.

If there is more than one Hunter, leave immediately
0:
3 RepliesFirst time oryx challenge came around I ran relic for straight 13 hours with all three characters XD Not everyone gets it the first time dude what could be your thousandth time doing a raid could be someone's cherry xP

4 RepliesI played a full team of 319 randoms last week. I thought it was going to be easy against War Priest but the DPS was awful. We went to 4th aura on two characters. On one wipe, I got 75,000 and everyone was 18,000 to 27,000. I used a 320 spindle, two guys were using fusion rifles? But they swore it was the best gun for dps. What's up with that?

1 ReplyEveryone deserves to raid but remember we are not created equally, regardless of what anyone tells you. When ppl do something wrong, there are 3 possible reasons why: 1) They don't care if they do it right (bad, run from them) 2) They don't know how to do it right (fine, help them) 3)They don't have the ability to do it right (hopeless) Ive used this for years in dealing with ppl in how I respond to them. It will save you a lot of headaches.

They're trash

Do people still raid? Fk me that content burnt everyone out months ago
-
Join a clan. I don't get the opportunity to raid much, but when I do, I raid with my clan. It goes so much smoother than when you find randoms on lfg.
-
Did you ever just think you suck at the raids?
-
I agree that this is a pure growing problem.. I just hate when people think they are gunna get any better by NOT raiding.. And then they wait til the last possible moment to start trying the raid or taking it seriously. I personally can't wait for the April Update.. So many friends coming back to Destiny from Division = No more struggles with weak LFG...

Why do people suck at the raid?
Well, to do the raid, you need 310+ light. Do get 315+ light you must do the raid. You must also have Touch of Malice. How do you get Touch of Malice. By doing the raid. Why do people suck at the raid? Because to be good at the raid, and to be good at the raid you need to have done the raid. People can't do the raid because they can't do the raid because what they need to do the raid is in the raid, but they can't get it because they suck, and to not suck at the raid you need to do the raid. But they can't do the raid because they don't have the stuff because they sucked and got booted. So they don't have experience and therefore, they cannot do the raid. TL;DR: Why do people suck at the raid? Because to be good at the raid, and to be good at the raid you need to have done the raid. People can't do the raid because they can't do the raid because what they need to do the raid is in the raid, but they can't get it because they suck, and to not suck at the raid you need to do the raid. But they can't do the raid because they don't have the stuff because they sucked and got booted. So they don't have experience and therefore, they cannot do the raid. I'm so sorry for all of this confusion

Edited by GrJoe68: 3/23/2016 6:56:04 AMFirst unlucky lfg night I have had was last night. Only finished one character.

1 ReplyYou are saying 45 for 3 characters? So 15 minutes tops is what you want?
-
2 RepliesInstead of talking shit like you're something special, help them. They're not accustomed to it because they don't play it often because of guys like you (I imagine). I play with the same group of guys because of this very reason and if anyone talks shit, we kick them from the party. I personally stopped playing the raid because I rarely got anything good. No point wasting all that time for some lower light gear than the stuff I'm wearing.

1 ReplyEdited by RainYui: 3/23/2016 6:13:14 AMWhy do people suck at being nice and helping out others who aren't as good as you at doing something
-
Because they suck?
-
65 times is enough for me. I'm not playing that raid again unless it is required for the light level increase or to help friends. Destiny reset isn't the same anymore.
-
All the good players are playing something else. All that is left now doing raids is high level scrubs who don't even know the mechanics of the raid. It's sad.
-
It's all on how the team gels man. Saturday it took us about 30-40 times to challenge WP, but we were carrying 290 dudes, Sunday it took us 2 times for 1.
-
1 ReplyI can do the hard raid in my sleep. But there was a time when i sucked. We all did at one point. Sounds like you're just having bad luck with randoms.
-
After 3 and a half hours on normal mode I called it quits. I've done this with every raid. From vog to crota. Getting tired of spending countless hours accomplishing nothing because people can't understand the mechanics.

Because the really good kids reached max level, got sick of no content, and are waiting for new updates to return
