So I've been playing on 360 ever since the game came out, and by now I've poured hundreds of hours into it and have quite the collection of weapons and armor from all throughout year 1 & 2.
However, recently I got a ps4 as a gift. I've been partly torn because I want to play destiny on the current generation console, but I don't want to have to start the grind all over again and lose my progress.
So I've been trying to think of a way I could play, and my only solution has been to buy another player's account that has mostly everything I did, or at least similar things. Is that legal? Is it frowned upon? Should I just start the grind all over again?
It'd be basically like re-buying the game for probably a hundred dollars or more, but to me that may be more worth it, just because of all the time I've put into my character on xbox.
Any advice? I'd like to hear other opinions

1 ReplyHad a friend do about 5 years in prison over purchasing an account. Just not worth it in my opinion

A hundred dollars? I wouldn't let you look in my inventory for $100, let alone give you my account hahahaha, seriously though, $100 isn't even close

Trade it for an xbone. Won't have to grind all over and it's new gen

Yes. It's against the terms of service

1 ReplyNot illegal just frowned upon, like masturbation in an airplane.
Wow, Ethan! Great memes! Keep it up! Proud of you!
There's a pretty big chance you'll get scammed. As far as I know there is no rule against buying an account, but don't expect Sony/anyone to help you if you get ripped off.

How much would an account with damn near every exotic be worth to you?

Something can violate terms of service but still be legal.

It is illegal, plus you would have to make new friends which you can do by playing.
-
I don't know that it is illegal but it's frowned upon for sure
