I don't know about anyone else, but for a long time me and my friends lived, breathed, and dreamed about destiny. We would get everything done every week on all three of our accounts and still have time to complain about waiting for the next week's reset.
But as time went on, actually right around the one month mark of King's Fall, we rapidly started losing interest in the game. It may have been our conflicting schedules, or it may have been how demanding King's Fall became but suddenly we were lucky to get a full raid done and a couple nightfalls if we were lucky..
I guess the point of this is to kind of pick everyone's brains and see how my fellow destiny players are thinking/feeling and if to see if anyone can relate to my situation.. Your thoughts?

I bought the destiny PS4. Did nothing but play the game for a year n 5 months or so. Loved every bit of it. But I haven't played a "full week" since the last iron banner tournament. I still love destiny. Will not talk bad about it. But unfortunately it just lost its touch. I couldn't continue to run the same raid for 5 months straight. When new Content comes out, I will come back. But until then I can't bring myself to play it.

Constant mistreatment of fans, reuse of old asset being hyped as new content, broken PvP, boring,

Went to fallout until feb, realised one day in class that i had spent the entire day writing down ideas for destiny, decided to scratch that particular itch
-
No real urgency to run PvE anymore, come on for a little PvP every so often, but that runs dry after so long. Hoping this update will bring the game back to life for a while
-
Bo3. Needed something else to grind
-
The division is taking up my time. Still play both

struggling with depression, it's taken away my motivation to play a number of games I enjoy

I'll prolly look at the new content next month, then I'll get bored again, and move on to something else until another update. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy destiny, I do. But FFS, I am just tired of the same grind all the time. I guess I'm selfish when I ask for more content. I dunno. The confusing part to me is that the producers of this game said that this is a "10 year saga"...now THAT I find super hard to believe...

It got boring

1 ReplyHit 320, got the division. I'll be back for the content update
-
Less to do, with worse rewards
-
Haven't played in awhile. Nothing really worth grinding for and 320 ghost will not drop for me. Yes I know I missed the PvP event but I didn't know it would be a guarantee 320 ghost.

Honestly the game has just been really dry. I picked up the division and I am very pleased with how much there is to do as long as I have a friend or 3 to play with
-
Honestly there isn't much to do anymore. I'm not a big pvp guy but I've been trying that as of late. Finding it harder and harder to find a group on lfg to try and complete whatever challenge mode it is that week. Do a couple strikes here and there but that's about it. I've been here since week one and still love this game but it's been pretty dry lately. Hoping the new update will fix this temporarily at least.
-
I still play now and then too much of any game can burn you out I'll be playing division gta and fallout until April
-
Simply lost intrest. Too much grinding and not enough playing (the two should go hand in hand?). Year 1 was far better and we had fun grinding for that 1 weapon. TTK infusing, no elemental primary, shit exotics, Nightfall destroyed. Iron Banner and Crucible in general just a bore fest of sweatys and try hards. Barely been on in recent weeks. It was and is a great game but Bungie changed direction too much with TTK and abandoned the loyal fan base who made the game the success it was in favour of Twitch streamers and new players. Like every addict I won't be able to stay away when new content drops and hopefully we can forget all about TTK

1 ReplyRadio silence, grind to 320 not worth it, and not a fan of the sniper meta. Or any meta, for that instance.

It's the rewards vs effort and tedium. Getting duplicate gear, lower light level than what I already own unless it's challenge mode and even then duplicates. I've had bad luck with the rng in destiny. Doing the same thing over and over and over while seeing my friends who I raid with regularly advance/get new gear while I just stay at the same light level getting the same gear. I'd quit for awhile, play something else, miss playing with my friends and go back to destiny only to suffer the same zero progress or infinitesimal progress as before. I have plenty of friends who got the division. I'm having fun playing with them and advancing to high end gear isn't easy after the nerfs but I can accomplish it. With destiny progression is entirely at the mercy of rng. Destiny's rng hates me for some reason. Futility isn't a good motivator.

1 ReplyPlaying The Division, but I'll be back in like a week or so. The Division is good, especially the Dark Zone, but it doesn't have the sticking power that Destiny has for me.
-
6 RepliesContent. April update should fix that.
