Let's compare: Destiny vs the Division
Alright.
Beta:
Division: like 5 missions and 2 different enemies. Had to have a teammate in the Darkness zone or else you'll get fked up by other players.
Destiny: quite a few missions,a whole planet,bigger map altogether,better rpg mechanics,2 races with several types of enemies,not even sure if crucible was a thing in beta,but I wouldn't know because I wasn't there. I just decided to play vanilla instead. But I did see others play.
Vanilla:
Division: Still like 2 enemies. Probably increased to 3. Probably over 500 missions that's the same thing, just in different areas. I heard your "large map" increased to "2 large maps" too.
Destiny: Few planets,not as many missions,many enemies,literally better story than division,came out before division,so obviously more developed. Better developers who made better games that had replayability and were actually fun.
I think destiny wins.
Division is just new. Obviously gonna get more viewers and players.
And also,opinions.

Division has an in game story. Division also has 4 groups. Rioters which are just thugs in the street Cleansers which like to burn everything Rikers who like to hardcore rush you. LMB who try to make a new nation.

You claim that the division has a lot of missions that are the same thing in different areas and use that as a reason why it's not as good as destiny? Not even sure what to make of that one. Destiny does not have better RPG mechanics than the division. It barely has any RPG mechanics at all. I played and loved destiny for a little over a year but it hardly ever felt like an RPG to me. Lastly, while the environments in destiny may be aesthetically pleasing they are extremely linear and boring. They don't give much of a free roam feel, which is something the division definitely has.
