Who would win, The Joker or Hannibal Lecter?
Here's the hypothetical situation. Both fictional characters are generally aware of the other's existence. Both decide that the other must be eliminated by any means necessary, and must concoct a plan to kill the other. They both know the psychological history of the other, and both have access to their usual arsenal. They both have prep time, so to speak, and must outsmart the other. There is no Batman to stop The Joker in this situation, and there is no FBI agent currently on the trail of Hannibal Lecter, so both are completely free to take whatever action would be reasonably possible for each character. Who would win in this scenario?
For those of you unfamiliar with the character of Hannibal Lecter, he was the only pure psychopath ever known to be born. He has genius level intellect, and was a psychologist/therapist for a long time. Many of his patients suffered gruesome deaths and injuries due to his ability to truly get into their heads. He even convinced one of his patients to peel off his own face and feed the skin to his dog. Once he was locked up, he would be restrained thoroughly, as he had skills with lockpicking and escape on the level of Houdini. He would even be gagged, because a simple conversation was all he needed to destroy the psyche of nearly anyone he met.
I don't know how any of you could be unfamiliar with The Joker, but he basically fits the same MO. Famously ruthless and insane, The Joker would terrorize his victims in the most creative ways possible. Only Batman could ever truly oppose him. In the plot of Injustice, The Joker tore Superman down from his lofty position as the world's strongest defender to a tyrant, just as he did to Harvey Dent (aka Two-Face) in the plot of The Dark Knight. The Joker is an extremely adept fighter, brilliant, and lives for the simple purpose of creating as much chaos as he possibly can.
So, in this scenario, who would ultimately emerge victorious? Explain why.

Joker. He doesn't seem to care about the well being of himself and others, and he's just completely insane. He's almost as unpredictable as Deadpool, if not more. Plus he's actually quite potent at fighting. He fights with a kind of "It's all fun and games" style that's actually pretty affective.

I'd have to say the Joker. He's basically the same, but a fighter on top. Plus, the Joker comes across as one who would care less about his own wellbeing.

I'd say joker. I mean, if you include his gang of brawlers, he could arm them with firearms and tell them shoot to kill. And if that doesn't work, he can get his hands dirty and kill Lecter.

Good match-up but definitely Joker hands down. He's too crazy for Hannibal to actually screw with his head.

Hannibal is basically a smarter bruce wayne and batman always wins with prep time. Slight edge to Hannibal since he actually kills.

I would say Joker because of the chemicals and strange devices he possesses. I got nothing else in terms of argument because this is the best and most balanced match up. Plus, I like the Joker a lot.

3 RepliesShit, this is actually a solid, close match-up. Though I think Joker has an edge here with his unpredictability and physical savagery. Hannibal is methodical, cold and calculating, probably slightly more intelligent, and good at improvisation, but Joker would just be too quick and erratic for him, mentally and physically.
