Like such as receiving shaders or strike specific drops, do the Heroic Strikes have a better chance at dropping those?

4 RepliesI did 10 heroic strikes back to back yesterday (new monarchy quest) got 4 310 exotics and about 12 purple & 5/6 blues 295+. Heroics aren't really hard & take about 20mins most time (darkblade about 15) don't see point playing normal strikes rewards not worth it.

In theory, yes. In reality, no. The RNG plays with you just enough that you keep telling yourself "just one more round and I'll get something good." But it very rarely happens. Even if you are lucky enough to get a legendary drop, chances are that it will be way lower in light then what you have already.

Edited by High Charity: 3/10/2016 6:51:48 AMIn descending order, it goes Nightfall>Heroic>Vanguard>Legacy>Planet. Nightfall with the highest drop rates and planets with the lowest, for Legendary gear.

1 ReplyI've ran both playlists so much, that I can't physically bring myself to do them anymore. I've found that level 36 strikes reward better; at least for me, anyway. I've gotten all of the strike shaders and emblems from only doing the 36s. The heroics are more difficult, and basically give the same loot. I'd say to just save your time and run the 36 strikes. They're quicker, less difficult, and easier to grind.
