Division are marksman rifles sniper rifles or are they separate?
Never seen a sniper rifle for sale at a vendor yet so I'm wondering if they're what the marksman rifles are.

Yes they are the same thing, just put a scope on a marksman rifle and press right stick. Also just so you know marksman rifles do +140% headshot damage.

1 ReplyThey're all considered "marksman rifles", bolt action, semi auto, doesn't matter. Now they're all starkly different though, the M1A, M44, SRS, Scar H, they all have strengths and drawbacks, the M44 and SRS do high damage, but are pretty useless on high difficulties because of their inability to get damage off quickly. The M1A and Scar H can be kitted as normal rifles if you want, but they're still not as good as the automatics for hard mode.

Depends on the marksman rifle. Something like a Scar-H is more like a DMR from Halo, but a carbine is very sniper rifle like.

Yes, they are referred to as marksman rifles in The Division.

Marksman rifles are designed for people who are good at precision shots. The low fire rate, low clip size variants can be considered sniper rifles.
