Make Raid Weapons Great Again
We all know raid weapons in year 2 are terrible, the reason being, year one raid weapons dominated PvE. I believe that the way to fix this is make the primary and special raid weapons exotic. If bungie decides to bring vault and crotas end to year 2, they should make the Fatebringer, and vision of confluence exotic, found verdict, oversoul edict, etc. this would solve the problem by making it a more difficult choice to use them as it takes up an exotic slot. Now as for kings fall weapons, make them exotic, however buff them heavily, make them on par with year one raid weapons. Make there be a decision. The way they could buff them is add an extra perk to the weapon and make cocoon a built in perk. Make the perk great. Give us a reason to use them over hung jury and other great legendaries.

Year two raid weapons are infusion fodder. Kf weaponary is pants. Only quillims teminus is any good. Smite of merain was great with firefly but the nerf to pulses just about killed it. Year one id use raid weapons in everything pve and a few in iron banner. kf raid guns are just farmed and infused but hardly used. Will of light is a wasted perk because the raid is 70% hive kills. Give elemental burn to all primaries and give the raid weapons the perks that make them unique to that type of enemy.

1 ReplyPeople loved y1 raid weapons because they where as powerful as any exotic while maintaining the legendary status allowing you to use a full raid set. y2 raid weapons are ONLY useful in the raid (extra damage to taken) but that's it, any exotic is better. Cocoon AND extra taken damage should be intrinsic, they should have been reworked to mirror some of the other top tier weapons.

1 ReplyHonestly most if not all of the Y1 raid weapons would make pretty lame exotics. Unless you're adding actual exotic perks onto them even elemental damage wouldn't be enough to warrant the exotic slot in a lot of circumstances. Case in point: found verdict is a good legendary weapon, would be a garbage exotic compared to invective.

The way to fix this year's raid weapons is to make cocoon an intrinsic perk. Don't need to do anything fancy
