Nope, not at all condescending and you make good points my friend. But my original argument was watching people play video games as to watching people play sports. Here's one point, you still would require another person to play with for chess unless it's online which might then classify it as a video game maybe. I would never compare Lebron James to TripleWreck lol. Now I have to admit that I have looked up strategies and/or techniques for playing video games by streamers but to watch them for entertainment purposes is just so bizarre to me. Maybe if there was a huge tournament like what they do with Halo and CoD I'd watch for entertainment purposes but when it's just so easy to turn on my console and play with my own friends I always will choose the ladder. Maybe I'm old fashioned and it doesn't seem right to have kids look up to video game streamers over world champion athletes i dunno :-/ lol

  • Good argument guys, interesting read. I somewhat side with compare to sports guy. But there's an alternate side to some streamers channel; entertainment. I was a little wary of watching streams too. Then I saw gothalion beat box. That's a skill I cannot replicate and find it awesomely entertaining. He doesn't do it every day. But people watch late night shows to watch people talk, and that's it. Just talk. I watch a guy play a game that I love, talk about stuff (including said game), and be an entertaining personality. If you're gonna say something about Fallon or whoever and their fame value, tell it to pewdie pie or whatever, making millions for YouTube vids
