Because I don't understand why screaming into a mic is considered music. I like some of the guitar and drum playing due to a lot of guitar hero when I was smaller, but I don't understand the screaming into the mic.

Some metal singers can perform normal vocals far better than rock vocalists as well as being able do screams, growls etc. Additionally the instrumentalists are for the most part far more masterful. I would say most guitarists and drummers can tone it down and play anything whe r as rock bands can't ramp it up and play metal. Now that may not mean the actual music is better but the artists I feel have better range in what they can perform.

Just like it's only the stereotypical rappers that only talk about money and hookers. But for some reason I feel like if I suggested Kendrick Lamar or J. Cole or King Los to anyone in here, 90% of you would reject it.

You don't even know what metal is if you think it's just screaming into a mic. Look at Motörhead, Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, and Black Sabbath for example.
