ASGM-10 multiplayer artillery support [ NEW VIDEO : Ground effects] .
HD Explosion effects of the ASGM-10 artillery

HD Video demostration of this multiplayer feature
This guide explains how an air support feature could be added to Halo Reach multiplayer with only minor changes to the gameplay and oriented to big sized and openned battlefields.
Explanation:
The system is based a on a solid equipment-type object, the Transsistor, it enables a 20 seconds direct connection with nearby ground deffense stations or rapid insercion fighters Transsistor atributtes: -3 minutes spawn after used. -Only two transsistors at the same time on any multiplayer match. -No cancel target option when being used. -Only one use.
Connectying through your HUD.
When the transsistor is activated your HUD will act as a control pannel, in this 20 seconds time lapse you can travell around the battlefield and adquire a single target. If any target is not adquired the connection will end and the transsistor will spawn again in accordance to its spawn time, if a target is adquired the connection will finish. HUD detailed vision. 1)Connection time remaining. Always of 20 seconds. 2)Target adquired notiphycation. 3)Host sygnal (deffensive installation you are connected with). Note: While the use of the transsistor, your model will stay static and vulnerable to enemy fire.
ASGM-10 Missiles
The ASGM-10 missiles can adquire a rarget via satelite connection, they are usually mounted on Longword class interceptors and static Missile launchers. ASGM-10 atributtes: -They acts as a solid object, similar to a scorpion shell. -They wll last about 2-3 seconds to hit the ground once a target is adquired. -The proyectile is fired from an above posittion on a vertical trayectory.
Blast radius explanation
The effects of the projectile can be seen scaled view. -Death zone: any vehicles, spartans... in this zone will result automatically on a death. -Explosive zone: the damage inflicted will increase or decrease depending of the distance from the death zone, your HUD will shock momently if not dead. -Shock zone: no damage is inflicted here, due to the blast, vehicles and other models may be pushed backwards, your HUD will also shock momently. As you can see this new feature is more like tactical system than a noob massive destruction tool, it requires prediction, team communication and many other factors and will add a more inmersive feeling of a battlefield. • Four pages. Has anyone mentioned that it won't happen in Campaign because all the MAC platforms are pointed at the Covenant ships trying to kill everyone? Or how stealing orbit strikes from GoW is lame?

 •
Posted by: checkertail I have an idea, instead of it annihilating the entire map. We lessen its power and make it a ONE-SHOT-ONE-KILL weapon, meaning you can only use it once for like 3 minutes, and if you miss, you're -blam!-. Instead of having it be availiable for both teams, we only have it useable on BIG-TEAM or games with more than 12 people in it, on the gametypes: CTF, Assault, and Territories (and its varients.) The losing team would be able to call in the MAC Blast, it even the odds abit, and it's blast radius should cover about, a suburbs' block. A way a winning team could make this moot, is to SPREAD OUT, making the MAC Shot only able to kill 1-3 people. While there is no explosives, the K-energy from the blast should you back a reasonable distance and make any vehicle too close FLY. But, of course, like everyone says, this would only work if the WHOLE TEAM talked, or most of it atleast. One idea I have is; the only people who can use the MAC Blast are people with MICs and who isn't in party chat.
Well, it is not explained at the Op but your allies are spotted from your enemies to avoid team killing, although this is not an instant kill the time the projectile last to hit the ground is small. In the map there can be only 2 transsistors(I'm thinking in just one) and as you said, if you miss or not select any tarjet during the connection you are -blam! and yu'll have to wait another three minutes.

 • Would you be mad if I said this reminded me of a Predator Missile or AC130 from Call of Duty..? At the same time, it is original. A death zone would be huge, though.

 •
Posted by: Cranium Crater It doesn't have to be an actual MAC round, it would be cool to have something though. Whether it's a longsword strike or just a mini-MAC, we don't need to argue over whether or not the MAC round would destroy an entire map.
Agreed, he said you could connect with "other defensive stations" not just MAC cannons.

 • I rather have a hologram like the one in halo wars or ODST that displays the map for the MAC control.

 •
Posted by: eraseme
Posted by: CoolCJ24 I love how all these haters imagine MAC strikes as being explosive, massive shells creating city sized craters. Does anyone know how a MAC works? The MAC shell has NO explosives. So a MAC shell hitting a map would cause the death of anyone in a 20 metre radius due to the debris and damage anyone within 35 metres. It would also cause a deep (not wide, DEEP) crater, whilst anyone nearby would feel their controller vibrate heavily. But let me re-assure everyone: the MAC shell does not cause an explosive/uber-sized attack. It causes a medium-scale yet devastating physical impact attack. [/knowledge]
a solid projectile, slamming into the earth at supsersonic speeds, would resemble nuclear bombs going off. mac projectile hitting ground =/= bullet hitting wall its more comparable to what happens in particle accelerators.
You assume so much just to want to dislike this theory. Let's do a little math shall we? Speed of light = 3.0 x 10^8 m/s. That is 300,000,000 m/s. 40% of which is 1.2 x 10^8 m/s. This is the average speed of a MAC round. Now, we only need a MAC round to travel from orbit to the ground in 2-3 seconds, so: Distance to low earth orbit: minimum 200 miles. 200 miles = 321800 meters. Dividing that by 3 gives 107300 meters/second that mac round will have to travel. That MAC round only has to travel at .09% of its original speed, and that's not taking into account the size of the projectile.

 • Not really, in Halo Wars, it would just destroy a Scorpion if it hits directly.
