Why can't bungie be as transparent as this

http://blog.ubi.com/the-division-post-launch-plans-and-dlc-revealed/ For those that might be on the fence about the division and for those that compare it to destiny

I'll just leave this here... And also, Bungie was all too transparent prior to launch. Then things went wrong and got all mangled, expectations were high and they weren't able to deliver. Transparency is a two way street that can lead down the road to disappointment...

  • So here your average salty Destiny player's review of the link posted..... 1. So the endgame raid and following 2 paid dlc's were obviously cut from the original game. Just to be timegated to keep players playing. 2. Free updates really all updates should be free. 3.Item trading really now any scrub can get great gear just because they have a friend with skill. 4. Four player raid teams, what bs we are all used to six in Destiny. 5. Can't wait for Destiny's new updates to come out and kill the Division. Seriously though I hope it's a great game and people enjoy it. -SoldierMedicTY
signed name just to piss ppl off. Have a great day guardians
• Bungie did do this for year 1, and if the division is gonna be ready for DLC that quickly, then it's probably at least 50% cut content as well (although most dlcs are now for all games) Noones gonna bitch for a while though because they're too busy overhyping it and then they'll all complain later Not that I think division is gonna suck, I'm probably going to get it, and I realise that dlcs have to be cut concepts that are likely mostly made already or else they wouldn't be able to release them fast enough

      • Speaking of Transparency, The Division isn't embargoing reviews for the Division.... ...Because they are refusing to give out copies of the game to any media outlets for review... thats the exact opposite of Transparency.

        • And they haven't even said everything. Just crazy man. And I'm so sure they've learned a LOT of what not to do from Bungle.

          • Additionally, two free updates, available to all players, will hit in the months following launch. Beginning in October, the Queen's Wrath update will add an endgame activity designed for squad play, challenging teams of three players to face nigh-unstoppable enemies for high-level loot. Also coming with the Vault of Glass update is raiding. Players in a 6 man squad will be able to chase the highest level gear and exclusive raid items. The Dark below will follow in January and feature a new raid, new story, and new weapons and armor and endgame activities. Seriously though, just seems as vague if not vaguer. Also, The Division hasn't said anything stretching past the end of 2016, so there are actually no long term plans at all.

          • I imagine most of it has to do with Activision and the contract they have signed with Activision. They are probably required to keep their mouths shut about things until activision allows them to say something. I really think that bungie would tell us more if they could. The proof is in the pudding. The minute that activision released whatever that was in regards to destiny in the next year, Bungie immediately told us the plans for the year(lacking details of course, most likely due to activision not allowing any more to be said).

            • Cuz destiny, bungie... had no real mid, long plans. They released whatever they had to ca$h, and they are still trying to put everything together. Right now is still a console game that relies on a pc/app, due to lack of ingame tools.
