1 ReplyNever support a price rise...even if it is deserving of one.

Well although I love fallout and elder scrolls I didn't buy the seasons pass. However I think the one thing people are forgetting is that they are adding MORE content than what was actually planned, and they've said this which is why they had to raise it to 50 bucks cause there will supposedly be more than $60. Not to mention they have been honest about it and told you that you could buy it at $30 before March 1st. So I mean I think it's okay since they are adding more content but if it was just to raise the price then yeah I'd be pissed
-
Don't care, I bought it when it was $30
-
I got it when it was 30
-
Nope. Didn't purchase the season pass either. I'll pass on their season pass.
-
3 RepliesI bought the season pass not because I really support the principal, but because $30 for $80+ worth of content is a really awesome deal.
-
I'm not sure support is the right word, but I'm certainly content with it. It was this or sell a second season pass and this way I, having already bought the season pass, get more content than expected without having to pay more.
-
Support would be a strong word Understand fits better Bethesda likely first priced Season pass with a small(er) profit margin. They probably didn't think gamers would accept $50 season pass and had other plans in place to increase their bottom line. But then Black Ops and Battlefront paved the way. These titles established the new industry standard for season passes. And Gamers bought it. Bethesda likely saw this and decided to take a chance with marketing. Delaying the price hike was solid business move. A bird in the hand after all. So go ahead grab your torches, pitchforks and form a lynching mob.... it matters little to me. This is just what I took away from the situation.

Edited by DELIVER ME MEMES: 3/3/2016 3:22:01 AMbecause the base game is terrible and they're delaying the GECK until they release the DLC. so i got the season pass
-
They are making more DLCs than planned. If you want it, you will pay for it. If you don't deem it worthy, don't buy it. It's actually pretty cool of them I think to expand the content cycle.

5 RepliesEdited by Harry: 3/2/2016 9:26:33 AMI haven't bought it for one reason, and that is Bethesda's track record with DLCs. I hope they learned something from Obsidian with FNV's DLC but I doubt it. As much as I love Skyrim, it's DLC was short and lacking. If they make something like Old World Blues (FNV) or Point Lookout (F3), then I'll buy it when it comes out. I didn't need a season pass for any other Bethesda game, and I won't need one for F4 - I don't mind paying a bit more for quality content.
-
I'm ok with it. They're making their biggest DLC yet. They did let everyone buy it for $30 until March 1st as well.
-
I dont give a shit i allready bought it.
-
HELL NO.
-
If it's fan made content then it's bullshit.
-
I feel like it was a greedy move, at least in my opinion. I can already see that their plan for the confirmed DLC is being done in the same pattern that Skyrim's was done in, just with shorter windows between each release. That sort of worries me because that means that each DLC could be lacking in content.
-
I can't seem to respect a company that hinges on DLC to make their game halfway decent

Price Hike yay or nay?
I wonder why everyone hates synths

Edited by SirBigWater: 3/2/2016 10:38:51 PMI could care less about Fallout 4. However, Bethesda did not have in mind the dlcs that they are going to make when they released the season pass. They said that it could change in price. They gave us about a month's warning that it would change in price by March 1st. They did so because they deemed that the content they are releasing is worth more. It is their game. They have the right to do so. I do not mind spending an extra 20 bucks. Is the season pass worth 60 dollars (in the country I live in)? Not to me. But I can afford it. So I do not care.
-
It's fair as long as there's substantial amounts of doc involved
-
Edited by Unbreakable Patches: 3/2/2016 9:36:07 PMIf you haven't bought it by now, that is entirely your fault. Especially since they even warned that its price was being bumped up like a month in advance. Not to mention they said there will be plenty of DLC beyond those first three... So... Yeah.
-
17 RepliesThey are adding in 3 dlc's instead of the usual 4 and are also only making one proper dlc rather than all of them being massive dlcs
-
Op is synth
-
They said the ones that they already announced are only the first "wave" of dlcs which imply a they are gonna have more.
-
2 RepliesServes you right for not getting in early you peasants.

8 RepliesWe are lucky they gave us time to buy the season pass before they hiked the price up.
