PS4: L1/R1 or L2/R2 as ADS & Fire?
I've been on PS4 playing Destiny since mid summer but most of my FPS games have been on Xbox consoles. I recently was told many PS3 users used L1/R1 to ADS & Fire and now also use L1/R1 on PS4 and I'm wondering which is best in your opinion. If you don't want to give a reason can you at least post which one you prefer? I'm thinking about switching to L1/R1. Thanks guardians.

My first console FPS was default L1/R1 and I assumed that was normal. Part of the reason I didn't get Battlefront, apart from the shit Beta, was no option for that control scheme. I struggled with Wolfenstein, but I love that series too much to not get it.

1 ReplyI used to prefer PS3's aiming/shooting being default L1/R1, but once I got a PS4, instantly preferred the triggers over PS3's. I've only recently changed to L1/R1 on PS4 and I think it's better, it's like every weapon has the 'hair trigger' perk thing. What annoys me about it is that melee/grenade are on the triggers...

7 RepliesYou'll find that you'll be quicker shooting at reacting when you use L1/R1 as opposed to the triggers. You can spam a button faster (for semi automatics) than you can a trigger.

When I was on PS3, L1/R1 was the way to go, but when I got my PS4 and played BF, CoD and Destiny, the L2/R2 triggers felt way better and I had no issues adjusting to them. I guess it's just personal preference.

1 ReplyL1/R1. Nothing can bother me more in a shooter than aim and shoot being bound to l2/r2, it's so unnatural for the playstation controller, it's always been l1/r1 since the ps2 days.

I had Xbox 360 before ps4 so L2r2 felt better so I stuck with it
