Love...comes in different forms. It can be romantic, familial, friendly. And in truth, love between partners, between siblings, between friends, will never truly feel exactly the same from one to the other, even if it's the same sort of relationship. Love is dynamic, changing, it evolves as the relationship between two people evolves. It may meld with other feelings, it might become other feelings. Emotion as a whole is just a wild spectrum, encompassing the innumerable internal reactions we can have to one another, and to the world around us in general. It's indescribable and confusing, for certain, but it's almost universal as well.
In this way, empathy is the language of understanding, and love is just one of the many dialects through which we communicate it.
