Using Xbox One Elite Controller is cheating.
Some of my friends told me not to buy one because I would be considered a cheater? Thoughts?

well, I dislike the idea of someone gaining a competitive advantage because they spend more money on their handset, I can't call it cheating when the control is sold by the console creator. Modded/third party controllers ARE something I would consider to be "cheating" but a properly licensed device by definition can't be "cheating"

Get one. Awesome controller and in no way cheating. It's a licensed product and if it was cheating, it would have been addressed by now.

Since I've had my elite controller I've been able to die in exactly the same ways I did before. No cheating exploit over here.

I can tell you first hand that it doesn't play the game for you. My k/d is about the same with and without it. I like that I can move some buttons around and be able to revive/pick up boxes while moving and shooting but it definitely is not cheating.

I think it depends who interprets the rule you can take bungie saying about modded pads or using keyboards as cheating or not

They don't want you to buy one because they would be jealous that they couldn't get one. In no way is it cheating. 99% of the destiny streamers/youtubers use elite controllers or scufs.

Every mmo platform deserves something with hotkeyable products. I think it's a brilliant tool to enhance game performance. In no way should it be considered cheating.
