A lot of people are saying TLW is for people with no skill. Why?

Shoot first aim later, but by the time you've aimed you've killed someone

I personally just love the characteristics of the gun. The old western style still so badass that the aliens however many in the future still use. No matter what it is, there will always be whiners who only care about K/D and not having fun. NEWS FLASH KIDS!! If you don't make money from playing this game, stream it, or play competitively and just do it as a filthy casual like myself then who -blam!-ing cares. I fear for the generation that have severe therapy later in life because they got so butthurt and wound up over a video game.

20 RepliesThere are three kinds of people: 1) The ones who never used TLW in year 1, or haven't bothered to learn how to use it in year 2; these people complain nonstop that the gun takes no skill while not actually acknowledging that they themselves can't use it 2) The ones who have used TLW religiously since they first got it, the people everyone else complains about and claim have no skill when it's just the simple fact that they've used the gun enough to be good with it 3) Everyone else who's actually playing the game for fun, don't get me wrong there's some people from 1 and 2 in here as well. But I'm sure you all understand what I'm trying to say. :) Eyes up, lol.

I ask myself, why have a legendary hand cannon when I have TLW?
-
4 RepliesUse a regular hand cannon and then you'll see why. It is significantly easier to use than other hand cannons

2 RepliesHow many guardians does it take to change a lightbulb?
100

1 to change the lightbulb, and 99 to complain about how the new lightbulb needs a nerf
-
In my short experience with it I notice when you start hip firing it becomes a beast
-
Because common lmao. Remember when sniper rifles are top tier only weapons, yet they were barely changed?
-
7 RepliesBecause it's a full auto 2 shot with 8 in the mag
-
Its a full auto 3-4 with increased head shot damage when firing from the hip
-
It's not at all. It's only effective at close range, and people don't like getting killed.
-
2 RepliesMy opinion but they say that because the gun is used ALOT and I think that it does take some skill or practice at least to get consistent head shots while hip firing it. It's also just plain fun to use XD
-
Edited by Vrchue: 3/3/2016 4:28:15 PMIt kinda does need skill, you need to be accurate when you hip fire and if you miss the headshot while hip firing you have about a 60% chance of losing the gun fight, TLW isnt meant for body shots.
-
It isn't "no-skill," it just has a lot of room for error because of its fire rate and hip fire bonus damage.
-
Hambo the RatYou made me like this! - old
It's a bit ridiculous in 3v3 or 2v2 playlist because it decimates anything else in close range. You pair it with a sniper rifle and you've got any range covered. -
Idk man, I've been trying to use it and it's difficult to hip fire, for me at least. It's a gun for a special guardian, not everyone can use it. Personally I love my Suros
-
In year 1 there was a glitch where the hip fire damage buff would activate even if aimed in (not all the time). People don't realize that they also nerfed the range and damage when aiming. That's my thoughts on it
-
Call me crazy, but I find that using TLW can be really fun. Especially during CD. I had a lfg teammate who consistently died first, allowing me to go ape with a maxed out TLW
-
I can't use last word for shit. I've tried a few times but end up frustrated. Back to hawkmoon I go!
-
The hip fire perks make it a "RNG" gun rather than a skill gun, at least that's what the "pro" players are saying...
-
I only use it for hand cannon bounties, otherwise it sits
-
Hip fire damage and accuracy
-
1 ReplySuper effective hip fire
-
Because you don't even need to aim.....you literally look in the direction of another player and pull the trigger a couple times....no skill required
-
Fastest time.to kill gun I think doctrine of passing is 2nd
-
3 RepliesYou literally just point at something and hold R2. A 3 year old can do that.
