Would you guys like to be able to "Cook" Grenades? You'd be exposed with this ability, but grenades would also explode faster. Either way, there's more skill involved.
Posted by: Munchiesmunchie It's Not COD
STOP! I am sick and tired of posts like this. Them putting "cook grenades" in the game doesn't make it Call of Duty.

It's Not COD

Cooked grenades? Once they touch any surface they blow up in about 2 seconds. Its not the standard 5 second fuse grenade we have in other games and IRL.

Grenades don't work on a timed fuse in Halo, they all work on a system based on either when they stop moving or a short time after they make contact with a surface.
Posted by: bat out of h3ll well bungie could make it where they dont have to hit something for them to explode.
While they are at it they can also change Halo to CoD:MW3.

Halo's grenade system works in a different way to games with grenade cooking, and works well.
Posted by: pizzajedi360 when you "cook" a grenade you don't literally cook it, it's an expression that means you hold onto it with the pin out.
Lol I know, the term just makes me laugh...I think it would be a nice touch to gameplay, providing lag doesn't ruin the effect, especially seeing how the current game engine runs.

Yes, cooking grenades is a good idea. It's a valid strategy and could work well.

By "Cook" do you mean being able to hold the grenade a few seconds before you throw it? If so, this would make dives and evasive maneuvers to avoid grenades pointless in campaign, which the animators work really hard on, so maybe in multiplayer, but not campaign.
-
might help stop the grenade spamming. if the enemies spam the grenades, then you would have more time to get away from them.
-
Grenades already detonate really quick...
