Every single game is a grind & a death fest without SBMM
IB has suddenly become such a drag,the last couple with SBMM were really fun as people were on my level & I was getting so much better & actually enjoying pvp for the first time since day 1 release but now its gone back to CBMM its back to spawn die spawn die spawn die,how is getting battered match after match supposed to make me a better player.
How is losing every game by 4000 despite going positive fun,Im not american so never had any issues with lag because in europe we have actually a good internet service.
If I wanted easy game's Ide buy a playstation for pvp but I just want games that are fun & not a constant battle by guys that think winning is all there is to life(American's, I know I know we all hate american's).
Doesnt matter though just ranting.
Bring back SBMM for us guys that dont think winning is all there is to life.
Even when winning match after match it feels like getting battered.
Every match is a grind with 10k vs 9950 or a 6v3.
Edit: People saying it makes you a better player.
You get better by practicing against people of similar abilities & moving up gradually,why do you think collage basketball or football dont play the nfl or nba guys,iys why football teams are split up into leagues but for a video game its different is it?

7 RepliesDespite what Bungie said about it being cbmm with a little sbmm, it still has a fair amount of sbmm in the matchmaking I am a scrub at pvp and would not stand a chance with the wide variations in skill level in cbmm; I stopped pvp in Vanilla because I was getting stomped every match and only started again in January Most matches I have been in this IB have not had a wide range of skills. I have come bottom in some matches and I have come top in some but I have never thought that I was the target in a stomp fest. I have actually managed an average kd > 1 in the matches I've played I do agree that people need sbmm to be able to learn the game and develop their skills. It is a few decades since I was at school but I don't remember teachers giving everyone the hardest work all the time and expecting them to get better by themselves. People get better by starting slowly and gradually building up their skills. You can't do that with cbmm where you spend more time waiting to respawn than you do playing

If you were really getting "battered" the matches wouldn't be with 500 points there pal. No shit you don't feel the lag problem because you were probably getting matched with American players getting a huge ping advantage. Lastly, SBMM is still very much there it's just not as heavily weighted as it was.

CBMM is just a test for Iron Banana, the main Crucible modes are still SBMM.

Secondly the difference between play station and Xbox isn't that big, the only reason matches could be a bit easier on PlayStation is because more people like and play the PlayStation. you can't just out right blame Americans when you're just as likely to be at fault for the bad connections. Last but not least, You just sound like a 12 year old little bitch

I am an average player like yourself. This IB hasn't been that bad. And there isn't much of a skill difference between xbone and ps4. Only difference is the quantity of players of ps4 on destiny.
